Morning folks....it's me...back to the same ole enthused old lady!  Up at 4:30 walked for 30 soaked for 30 and now I'm thinking about what I will pack for my lunch today.  I think I'm going to look up the old Jack LaLane chair exercises and do them at work.  We shall see, I haven't commited to that one lol.  Anyway....I'm just breathing deep and going to enjoy the day.

Everyone please, drink lots of water and stay cool!

Good morning. I do abdominal crunches while driving - every stop light - or stop sign... It is almost automatic now. Initially needed sticky note on my wheel.

Good morning Botts:

Crunches at the stop light made me laugh this morning.  I am just trying not to spill my coffee on the way to work, does that count as juggling?  My eats for today are:

Breakfast:  Quest Protein Bar

Snack:  Grapes

Lunch:  Quest Protein Bar

Snack:  Cheese & Crackers

Dinner:  Veggie Burger on Whole Wheat Sandwich Thin with shredded cheese, onions, a little bacon bits, and mustard (yummy!)

Snack:   NSA Vanilla Ice Cream Sandwich

Exercise will be running errands in the evening with the hubby!  I made run around Wally World a couple of extra times too!  Too HOT to do much more.  Have a great day and remember those vits and drink tons of fluids today!

Keep working on hubby for the treadmill!!! 😄One of the best investments I've ever made. I bought a NordicTrac over 11 years ago from Sears and it has had frequent and hard use and never had to be repaired. I can walk whether it'**** and humid, a severe thunderstorm, a blizzard, or pitch black. Neither of you will regret it!

I have been looking at a Nordic Trac from Sears also.  I told him it could be a Christmas present to both of us only early.  He is still mulling over it.  We have had two in the past but not really nice ones and he is saying that we wont use the new one anymore than the old ones.  I keep convincing him we are in better shape now to use it daily and that it wont be a dust collector this time.

Very sound reasoning! And definitely spend a little more for a quality treadmill. You will really notice the difference and be even more inclined to use it. A Christmas gift is a great idea!!!

Lol... The crunches are more like passive "sucking other gut in" and letting go.. Can be done standing up, sitting, etc. I stated doing that in yoga - 'pull in the abdominal muscles' and that motion also helped in my intestine cramps and pas in in the past... Really keeps the belly rather flat even with back side expanding.
But I can picture in my head what crunches in as car can look like... Lol.

Ok the mental pictures of crunches at stop signs somehow got stuck in my brain and added getting out of the car to do squats and lunges. Then the run around Wal-mart was a mad dash (think Black Friday at the door opening). I've really enjoyed that little diversion this morning.

I had the best intentions of starting my carb detox yesterday but I let myself get derailed beacuse of going out of town for a funeral. I realize it was an excuse none the less. So this morning has started out much more on target.

Commute:   Coffee   (no crunches!!!!!)

Breakfast:  Scrambled eggs with Salsa & Cheese

Lunch:       Salad with Grilled chicken

snack:       Yogurt & handful of trail mix

Dinner:      Baked chicken, green beans & squash

Lots and lots and lots of water today. I've already taken the morning meds and vitamins. Gotta remember the afternoon dose. I've bee horrible about taking my iron at bedtime. It'll be interesting to see how yesterday's labs come back. Getting my walk on at lunch time today (inside in the AC). May even get a swim in again tonight.

Blessed are the flexible for they shall not be bent out of shape.

Very hot and humid today and tonight. Winds are really picking up, they just had to close the Mackinac Bridge which connects Michigan's upper and lower peninsulas. Severe storms are on the way, but behind that will be cooler and less humid air. I'm dropping my mountain bike off for a much needed tune up tomorrow. I haven't done any bike riding, let alone trail riding, since before RNY in '06. I'm thinking i'll give it a try again. Hope the bike is salvageable! 😉
