Happy Hump Day Botts:

 

It looks like it is going to be another hot day in the south and in the northeast.  Please remember everybody to stay hydrated and don't stay in the heat to long.  My eats for today are:

 

Breakfast:  Quest Protein Bar

Snack:  Grapes

Lunch:  Quest Protein Bar

Snack:  Cheese & Crackers

Dinner:  Tuna Salad on Whole Wheat Sandwich Thin

Snack:  WW NSA ice cream bar

 

Exercise:  Did not make it out at 5:30 AM this morning but will try to get in a walk this afternoon in the neighborhood.  Have a safe and happy hump day and remember those vits and fluids.

EATS

Early Morning:  2 cups coffee w/SF hazelnut creamer

B:  Quest protein bar

S:  1 oz cheese & Triscuits, ½ cup peaches

L:  Mac & cheese, Unjury protein chicken broth, 1 oz chocolate candy

S:  none

D:  2 small slices of pizza

S:  none

TOTALS:   1548 calories, 85g Protein 

WEIGHT:  Pre-Op: 302, Current: 184 (Height:  5’ 7”)

Hi Angela:

 

Is going back to work better now?  Are you still feeling the pinches from the surgery?  Glad you are back on track with your food.  I actually gain about 6 pounds after my last surgery but I am in the process of getting them back off.  3 down and 3 to go.

I'm doing great.  Work is going very well.  I still have some swelling in the evenings but only a couple of time has it gotten bad enough to make me uncomfortable.  My weight has fluctuated a lot since surgery but I think it's mostly due to the swelling.  The day after surgery I was 8 lbs. heavier than the day before surgery!  That's the highest it's been thank goodness!  Most days I'm at my pre-surgery weight of about 184-186 so I may have gained some since 3 lbs of skin & fat were removed.  Hopefully it's just still the weight of the swelling.  I can't wait until I can get back to my regular exercise routine next week.

My weight was fluctuating up and down a couple of pounds with swelling but I was able to eat a lot more without actual gain and then overnight at about 5 weeks.  Bam!  up six pounds.  The honeymoon period was over and back to lower calories and higher protein again.  It was sweet while it lasted!

Yes it's hot and the AC is running full on!!  Thank you all for all the encouragement and tips!! I am reviewing everything I've been doing the past 3 weeks to understand what I've done to myself.  For 1 thing, the past 2 weeks, I didn't journal my foods...still haven't today either but I will when I get off here!  Anywho, I have bumped up the walking to 2.5 mph and change the incline during to raise the heart beat.  I am doing a bit more research on me but as you all have said, I have changed too much to get this discouraged.  I am just going to focus on all my positives!  I'm not smoking, I'm not drinking any thing bu****er, I'm not sitting on the couch all day and I am able to come up river bank without stopping to rest!!!  Yeah me!

Couldn't fall asleep last night and woke up very early this morning--still processing all the info from the pre-surgery consults with the general and plastic surgeons. Promise to post soon. So anyway, since I couldn't sleep I hopped on the treadmill for about 40 minutes. Then went to Zumba Circuit before work--it was SO hot, no AC, but fun! We were a sweaty bunch of women. Oh, and I had to order some smaller sized shorts and workout pants--and they fit!!!!!

B 1/2 protein smoothie (chocolate protein powder, almond milk, 1/4 frozen banana, dark chocolate cocoa powder, ice)
S other 1/2 of the protein smoothie
L hummus, light high-fiber & high protein Italian flatbread, baby cucumbers, Ranch dressing
S Monterey pepperjack cheese, carrots, Ranch dressing
D salad (romaine, ham, Swiss, crumbled blue cheese, Ranch dressing)
S SF FF pudding with protein powder

112 ounces fluid, 1203 calories, all vitamins taken

Sleep well all
