Beautiful day here in Michigan!! Weekends are my time to sleep in which (I don't get up at 4:30 AM) and I get a slow start...but I did turn on the treadmill and walked at 2.3 mph and I walked the equivalent of the our "driveway"which is 1.4 miles. I did that in 33 minutes!  What a difference from March in which I struggled and struggled at 1.8 miles per hour just to walk for 30 minutes and was breathless!!  Now I am working at keeping the heart rate up!  I have decided this morning that I am going to work up to walking 5k each morning which will take about an hour and will continue to walk for 30 minutes each evening.

Breakfast:  Protein Shake

Lunch:  Protein Shake

Snack: Celery

Dinner: Baked Chicken and salad

Got my blood work back from the yearly physical and every element was perfect!!  Keeping up with the vitamins and my water!

Sounds like you had the perfect start to your day. I had a chance to sleep in too. Since then it's been pretty active. Got a lot of housework done this morning (that's cardio right?). Then got a walk in. Then some yard work. Then some playtime in the sound with the kids. (I'll be sore tomorrow from that - we were playing king of the float). Then some time spent straightening up the garage (oh what a mess!!). So now I'm some kind of sunburned & tired and I have Vacation Bible school starting in 2 hours.

Breakfast:   COFFEE!!

Lunch:  Bacon & Cheese omelette

snack: Cherries & handful of pistachios

Dinner: Spaghetti with homemade meat sauce (whole wheat & very lean meat)

LNS:  Banana Protein smoothie (or maybe peach)

Oh and lots and lots and lots of water and decaf tea throughout the day. I've fallen back in love with Crystal Light Lemonade too!!

Good evening, BOTT friends,

Long, lazy day for me.  I was bored outta my mind, and wanting so much to go fishing, but my lower back wouldn't cooperate.  I started to just go out to a local pier and watch, but decided to stay in and read/watch TV.  I had too much fruit today, and developed a craving for sweets which I hadn't had in months.  But I didn't give in to it...I substituted with a banana.  It worked.  The cause was too much cantaloupe, but I guess that happens when you're as bored as I was.

Got my recumbent bike workout done at a moderate pace for 60 minutes, covering 6.7 miles.  Today I ate:

B:  3/4 c egg salad (reg mayo), sandwich thin, 3 strips low sodium turkey bacon, 1 c cantaloupe

L:  3 ozs deli turkey breast, 1 slice deli cheddar, sandwich thin, mustard

S:  2 c cantaloupe

S:  medium banana

D:  leftover lean beef stir-fry with lean pork and extra broccoli added (no rice)

Goodnight friends :)

I had a great weekend with my husband and kids. Great beach weather. My pouch is much happier minus carbs, even though they were complex ones, and the weight I gained from them is almost back off. Hate setbacks but I do learn from them.

S smoothie with protein powder, almond milk, 1/2 banana, dark chocolate cocoa powder
L quest bar
D ground sirloin burger with sautéed onions & mushrooms, green beans
