hi all,

i'm a new member to this group (been on OH since 2008 or 2009, can't remember). i had rny on april 2009 and lost just over 100lbs. in the past 3 years i've gained 35lbs from eating whatever and not following rules and have now decided its time for them to come off!

i'm getting married in february 2014 and would love to have reached my goal (of losing 30-35 lb) by then. i look forward to "meeting" all of you, if we haven't already met and hope i can be supportive of others who are in the same boat as me.

thanks, christina

Welcome, Christina.  I hope you'll be able to find what you need here to reach your goal.  All I can say is that joining BOTT and being diligent has done for me what I had been unable to do for myself...like a light went on and will not go out.  I post every day, usually in the evening, and if I should miss a day, I'll post it on the following day.  The people here have been wonderful, and open (many have been M.I.A. for the last few days, probably due to the holiday), and I have gleaned what I could from their posts, as others have from mine.  Just apply what you will, form your own plan, and work with your tool to be the best you can be.  Looking forward to your posts, and best wishes on your upcoming wedding :)

Welcome, Chris! I've really appreciated this group--a very supportive, informative, upbeat, friendly group of women. Your goal is very realistic. I have about 12 more pounds of regain to lose out of the 45-50.

Welcome!!! I know if you put your mind to it, you will succeed AND we will give you a bit of "hip check" now and then when you get discouraged!! I know for the last month I was on a stall and those here give lots of encouragement!  You will get their stories about their stalls which helps work through your own!! We all need a few buds that are going through or have been where we are....and even though I've been absent for the last couple of weeks, I still kept my fellow BOTT'ers in mind everyday and I didn't want to let them down by having to come back here and post a weight gain!!

What works for me, is to journal everyday WHAT goes into my mouth!! I have to play the numbers game that is just the way my brain works and I have to weigh myself at least twice per day!  It's all a psych test for me. I also made a pledge to myself to walk everyday for a minimum of 30 minutes daily! I have 46 more lbs to lose and I want that to happen by 4/18/2014 on my 61 st birthday.  You and I can do this together with the help of the others.

You have lots of exciting times to come in the next few months, it will be fun and it will be stressful and "moving" is the best way to deal with stress!!!  Moving will help you with the stress and you will meet your goal!!!

Welcome aboard the BOTT'ers train!!
