It's late and I still have to shower etc and I know both kids will be waking throughout the night so just a brief post:

B protein coffee
S quest bar
L tuna, lettuce, tomato
D egg salad in low carb high fiber tortilla
S apple, peanut butter

104 ounces fluids, 50 minutes on treadmill.

5k start at 8:00 tomorrow morning. Should be a blast because there's also a huge signup for not only the 5k but a 10k, 1/2 marathon, and a marathon.

Sleep well all!

Revision on 07/15/14

finally, i had a break! down to 188.1 ... it's moving, finally.

walked my 3 miles in 45 minutes, 4 miles per hour, that's pretty good.

first things first: coffee with fat free half and half

breakfast: 2 egg omelete with salmon, julian bakery cinnamon bread with fat free cream cheese (it took me an hour to eat it!)

snack: greek yogurt

lunch: protein bar

dinner: mashed cauliflower with garlic and shrimp

snack: greek yogurt bar

it's 840 calories, 32 grams of fat, 11 saturated fat, 62 carbs (more than i thought i was having) with 11 grams of fiber (making it a net of 51 carbs)  31 grams of sugar, and 84 grams of protein.

i might add another protein bar before i go to bed because i think i need more protein and calories for the day, BUT ... then my carbs go up as well, but not that much.

i also drank 80 oz of water.

hope everyone is doing well!

Awesome on breaking your plateau! If you think about Net carbs (carbs minus fiber), you're at 51 which is really good. If you want to add a protein bar for more protein, maybe add one with lots of fiber too. That's one of the many reasons I love the quest bars although I know Hala and others have experienced blood sugar problems.

And sorry, I just realized you were talking about net carbs already

Good evening, BOTT friends,

Short post.  Got my recumbent bike workout done this afternoon, 40 minutes covering 5.3 miles.  I had intended to do another, but had to leave for awhile and just got back in.  But I got plenty of walking in while I was out.  Today I ate:

B:  protein shake made with vanilla protein powder, 4 ozs skim milk and SF French vanilla International coffee

L:  1/2 c egg salad on 1/2 sandwich thin, 4 strips turkey bacon

S:  3/4 c fresh blueberries

D:  5 oz lean beef burger on sandwich thin, 1 slice ultra thin cheddar, 1 tbsp ketchup, mustard, 1 tbsp relish

Goodnight friends :)

How's your back?
Shelia J.

The back is very weird.  I can take a step, take a breath, step up to go upstairs, and there is a jolt like a bolt of lightning straight through the middle of my upper spine.  I've been trying to keep count of how often, and it's at least 15-20 times per day or more.

The doc I saw on Wednesday (my PCP's associate) said he didn't  see any new fractures, but he referred me to an orthopedic specialist.  No appt. yet.  I don't think the tech did the x-ray properly, and she even had the nerve to ask me if, when I had other thoracic x-rays, they did them lying or standing?  She seemed very unsure of what she was doing.  So I'm awaiting the final report of that film from the radiologist.

Sorry for the length, but I'm kinda frustrated.  It doesn't hurt to ride my recumbent bike, and that's the only exercise I'm allowed to do, and I've got to do something :)

Thanks for asking, and hope the babes are doing well.  Have a good night :)
