good morning everyone.
i went out to walk at 6:15 this morning, walked 2 miles in 35 minutes and hung out at the community center for about an hour and walked back home in about 40 minutes. the grade from my house is ridiculous, and it felt on the way back like it was a 20 incline on my treadmill to the nth power. i did it though! i am also going to go to zumba tonight. i am trying to get in as much exercise as i can while i can. my shoulder surgery has been moved again to july 5th, so after that i won't be able to do anything but walk for probably 2 weeks, and then after that, we shall see.
first things first: coffee with fat free half and half
snack after first part of my walk: protein bar
breakfast: 2 eggs with mini soft cheese and 1/2 oz of steak jerky in there. (it was delicious! and i was starving!)
snack: protein shake
lunch: cottage cheese with diet jello
snack: string cheese
dinner: chicken breast with broccoli
snack: fat free cool whip with fat free/sugar free pudding
i hope everyone has a great day.

Hello, BOTT friends,
Posting Wed's eats on Thurs. Saw my PCP's associate yesterday for xrays on my upper spine. He saw evidence of "wear and tear" as he called it, but no definite fracture. I'm not convinced, because if it's a compression fracture it may be difficult to tell without MRI verification. He referred me to an orthopedic doc and I hope they can see me soon. So we shall see. I'm also awaiting the report from the radiologist on the xray done yesterday, as he is the one trained to read the films and finalize the report.
I did get my recumbent bike workout done (very cautiously) for 35 minutes, covering 4.3 miles. Once again, it felt weird and I was working harder than usual. Found the resistance turned up 2 notches more than I usually ride, but the good thing was that I burned more calories.
My eats were:
B: 4 strips turkey bacon, 1/2 c eggbeaters, 1 sl ultra thin cheddar on sandwich thin with 2 tsps light butter substitute, 1 c fresh strawberries
S: 1 c cantaloupe, 6 natural almonds
L: protein shake made with vanilla protein powder, 1 c skim milk, 1/2 small banana, 1/2 c cantaloupe
D: 5 steamed blue crabs (no butter)
S: 2 cups SF French vanilla International coffee
Not to be morbid, but maybe it was my hubby. He took his last breath in that room 9 yrs ago (so did my beloved ****er spaniel, Sandy). I can smile about that now...it's been so long. He'd be really proud of me.
Actually, it was probably my 17 yr old granddaughter this time. I remember she called when I was away last weekend, wanting to know how to adjust the seat.
That 7 lbs on your ticker is looking good, Tess. You're almost there! Hope to see similar results here in a few more months :)
