Good evening, BOTT friends,

Great to hear that you're doing so well, Tess.  You are such an inspiration to all, and I know you have given great tips to Angela for her up and coming plastics.  I can't wait to see the photos.  Maybe I'll get mine done someday when I remarry ( the rich old guy with one foot in the grave, and the other on a banana peel, LOL).

Well, the root canal turned out to be not so bad.  I had one a few years ago, and I swear that dentist was a sadist.  He just didn't want to get up off the anesthetic.  That made me very wary of this procedure, but this dentist was AWESOME, with a capital "A".  He even called this evening to check on my progress.  The thing that really hurt was the fitting of the temporary crown...snapping it on, taking it off, adjusting it, snapping it on again, etc, etc....  When I left, I had a splitting one-sided headache!

I didn't eat until later in the afternoon, and was able to chew without any problems.  I'm kinda wiped out tonight, but I did get my bike workout done, 40 minutes covering 5 miles.  I thought it felt like I was using more effort than usual, and when I finished I could see that the resistance had been increased (probably by my 5yr old granddaughter).  And I thought it was the pain meds :)  Today I ate:

B:  none

L:  4 strips turkey bacon, 2 eggs, sandwich thin, 2 tsps whipped butter sub

S:  1/2 medium cantaloupe

D:  grilled chicken breast (skinless), small Taco Bell pintos and cheese

S:  small grilled chicken leg (skinless)

Good night friends :)

Thanks!  Feeling MUCH better now.  Tell me...how is the lemon cream pie Quest bar?  I'm so ready for new flavors (had a box of the cookie dough...didn't care much for those as I'm not that into chocolate).

So glad you're on the mend! I bought a bunch of single ones to try (I on the other hand LOVE chocolate and I'm trying to step out of my comfort zone). The lemon was good - it was a zestier lemon, which I was happy about because I would not have liked just a sweet lemon. I'll get that one again. I also tried the strawberry cheesecake. It was definitely strawberry flavored enough, maybe a little sweet for me, and not very cheesecake flavored which again is good because I'm not a big cheesecake fan. A non-chocolate one I love is the banana nut muffin. I'll try to remember the other non-chocolate ones I've tried.

I'll give the lemon a try, as I would like a zestier one also rather than really sweet.  Also the strawberry cheesecake, though I also am not a cheesecake fan.  I liked the vanilla almond crunch, and the peanut butter & jelly, but got a little tired of those after awhile.  The chocolate brownie bar is soooo rich and sweet that I can only eat about a third, and I eat it with almonds.  I'm a savory foods girl at heart.

Anyway, I'll be ordering soon so I'll try the ones I haven't had yet.  Thanks!
