Whew, spent yesterday at the hospital with my hubb starting at 3:30 AM  Thankfully chest pains weren't attributed to the heart but to his diet. Of course they have to rule out the heart first which takes 12 hrs!!  He was told to stop with the Atkins and eat a more well balanced meals..sooo he know says "I guess I'll eat what yo eat"..lol  He stopped with the bread and basically all carbs just ate protein, now he's adding vegetables...:)  He was also told that his chewing tobacco also attributed to the pain.  He has been cutting back. I don't say a word to him about that because that is probably harder to stop than smoking since you are allowed to do it anywhere!  Plus it involves the mouth more than that smoking.

Now...since we were speaking of plateaus yesterdays...I too am at a little plateau but I'll take my own advice and add extra protein to everything...(Any Whey) and keep the calories low low low.  So today

I'll have a protein shake  250 calories  56 gms

Lite N Fit Yogurt 80 calories protein 40 gms of protein

Lettuce Salad with Red Wine Vinegar 30 Calories

Apple Calories 80

Lite N Fit Yogurt 80 Calories 40 gms protein

Chicken Breast 4 oz 110 calories 25 gms protein

And if I need to "eat" more, I'll pick up the yogurt add the protein because this only adds up to 730 but if you look at it, there is plenty to fill me up and satisfy my mouth.  Already taken 1/2 my  vits but all I ever drink is water so I'm good there!

Hope everyone has a great day!

My eats for today are:

Breakfast:  Coffee & Miralax

Snack:  Unjury Protein Shake

Snack:  Grapes

Lunch:  Quest Cookie Dough Bar

Snack:  Unjury Protein Shake

Snack:  Lite Cream Cheese & Carb Master Crackers (5)

Dinner:  BBQ Chicken Fajita

Snack:  Quest Brownie Bar

Exercise:  2 mile walk around the neighborhood

My totals for today will be:  Calories 980, Protein 108, Fat 27, Carbs 38 and I will burn apx. 166 calories from my 40 minute walk according to myfitnesspal.com

Have a great day and remember those vits and fluids always!!!!

Good evening, BOTT friends,

Debra...glad your hubby is ok.

Today was a somewhat "grazing day " for me for some odd reason, especially since my toothache is still with me.  But I took care of the grazing with fruit and protein.  It started with the oatmeal this morning, which I ate maybe 1/4 of, but noted I was hungrier during the day, and water did not help.

Got my recumbent bike workout in for 45 mins, covering 5 miles this evening.  Felt sluggish due to the pain meds, but closed my eyes and listened to the TV until done.  Today I ate:

B:  1/4 c oatmeal with splenda and 1/4 c 1% milk, 1 c fresh strawberries, 1/2 hard boiled egg

L:  1c pulled chicken barbecue, apple slices

S:  protein shake made with 1/2 c 1% milk, 1 c cantaloupe, 1/2 small banana

S:  2 ozs leftover lean beef burger with 1 slice ultra thin cheddar, 1c fresh strawberries

D:  1c tuna salad made with light mayo, tomato slices

Going to bed early, so no late night TV tonight...grad day for my 11yr old granddaughter tomorrow.  Goodnight friends :)
