Holiday Weekend
Everyone must be out having fun!! I'm enjoying my weeked, 1 grandson is spending the weekend, he's 10. Fun t have around, big enough to take care of himself...but young enough he still looks at the grandparents like we are gods...hahahahaha...I've done ok on my eats...haven't logged them because I've been too busy but i'm down another lb..:) Soooo..everyone, I'm glad you are out living!!
On this weekend of remembering all those who have died in service of our country, I pause to give thanks that in my family we have lost no one in battle. I also give thanks that my children have been spared the ravages war as well as give thanks for nieces, nephews, cousins etc who have proudly served and are now continuing a different fight. We must not forget the battles those who have and those still to return are facing. Please let's keep them in our prayers......
Good evening, BOTT friends,
Glad to see at least one posting today. Everyone must be busy, as I was myself. But tomorrow will be the busiest, visiting the cemetery and such, then barbecuing. I should've gone to the cemetery today to beat the crowds tomorrow.
I got my bike workout done this evening, 40 minutes, covering 5 miles. Settling down to watch some late night TV now with a very good coffee protein shake. Lots of ice, and so thick that my spoon stands alone in the center. I use my stick blender to crush the ice and get that good, thick consistency...better than a milkshake IMO.
Today I ate:
B: protein shake made with 6 ozs 1% milk and 1/2 c fresh strawberries, 4 strips turkey bacon
S: 1/3 c fresh crabmeat eaten plain
L: 2 1/2 ozs grilled skinless chicken breast, 1c steamed broccoli with 1/2 tbsp whipped butter sub
D: 1c leftover homemade marinara sauce with lean beef, 1/3 c shirataki (Miracle Noodles
