So.. I didn't update the last thread again, but last night I went on a big of a snack binge when I got home. I ended up at about 1450 calories (which isnt too bad), but will be trying to not allow that to happen again.
Today has been a good day. I got super motivated. I went shopping and bought the ingredients for 3 new recipes that I wanted to try. I've stayed within my calorie count and have meals planned out for the next few days. :)
Cardio: Rode my horse this morning for about 45 mins. MyFitnessPal calculates at 260 calories burned. In honesty it may be more between the grooming, cleaning stalls, and then riding (I'm usually pretty soaked with sweat by the time we're done - we walk/trot/canter, jump, and do dressage work... but again I'd rather estimate on the low side than high side..
Breakfast: Egg White Egg McMuffin (250 calorie). Medium NonFat Latte (110 calorie)
Snack: Homemade Pumpkin Muffin (91 calorie).
Lunch: Carb Control Protein Shake (110 calorie). Carving Board Ham - 2oz (60 calorie). Raw Mushrooms - 1 cup (8 calories)
Snack: 6 mini quiche (made these today!!!) - ham/veggie/cheese (143 calories)
Dinner: 1 bone-in porkchop with dijon marinade (248 calories), Angel hair pasta - 1 cup (190 calorie), Green Beans (20 calories)
Calories are thanks to MyFitnessPal and I always estimate on the high side. :)
Totals: 1230 calories, 122 carbs (higher than I'd like, but okay), 108 protein (woo!).
I've done awesome on my water today (partially due to being out in the heat riding!) Right about 64 oz and still going.
Good evening, BOTT friends,
Good day and good workout on my recumbent bike this evening. I rode at almost the pace I used to prior to my back fracture last year. I did 37 mins, covering 5 miles, averaging above 8 mph during the ride. So far, my back is agreeing with the bike and the strength workouts, and I continue to workout every day on the bike (with an occasional miss here and there) and 3 times/week with the strength workouts.
Today I ate:
B: 4 strips turkey bacon, 1/4 c eggbeaters and 1 egg white, 1 slice ultra thin cheese on sandwich thin, 1/2 c fresh strawberries
L: protein shake made with coffee and 1 tbsp evaporated milk, 1 c fresh strawberries
S: 1 oz roasted peanuts
D: green salad with 1 grilled chicken breast, 2 tbsps lite raspberry vinaigrette dressing
Goodnight friends :)
3 Protein: egg beaters, chicken sausage, beef
3 Dairy: Greek yogurt, mozzarella cheese, American cheese
3 Starch: 2 whole grain tortillas, hamburger bun
5 Veggies: green pepper, mushrooms, onions, tomato, spinach
3 Fruit: 2 clementines, light dessert (no frosting), apple
3 Fat: peanut chewy protein bar
Exercise: gardening
