Good Morning Botters-I'm Back!

I am off one more week of work still recouping but I feel like my old self again.  I have started back walking each day and I am cutting back on the carbs now.  I love my plastic surgeon.  He did a super job and even with the swelling I know I will look awesome.  My eats for today are:

Breakfast:  Coffee with Miralax

Breakfast #2:  Raisin Bran w/1% milk

Snack:  Quest Brownie Bar

Lunch:  Potato Soup

Snack:  Grapes

Snack:  Granola Thins

Dinner:  Southwestern Chicken Bake

Snack:  Jello S.F. Vanilla Pudding

Exercise:  1 1/2 miles around my neighborhood

Have a great day and remember those vits and fluids.

Great to see you posting the C&C today, Tess.  Looks like the dates are off for yesterday's C&C, as well as today's.  I got a little confused at first glance, but it's all good :)  As usual, I'll post my day at the end of the day.  Hope you had a great Mother's Day!

Sorry about that.  I made the correction.  I just looked at yesterday's without thinking about the date.  And thank you, I did have a great Mother's Day!  I hope you did too!

Hi Angela:

I do feel great!  I want to go back to work on Monday but my husband is giving me fits about it.  He is so afraid that I will pick up or move suddenly and tear something up on the inside.  I know I will only be four weeks on Thursday but I am just tired of being at home.  My boss has been great and I have been working a few hours a day here at home.  I guess I will wait and see how I feel next week.  You are doing awesome on your protein, please keep it up, I truly believe this is one of the things that has me healing so well.  You will be having your surgery in less than a month.  It will definitely go by fast.

My PS said since I have a desk job I should be able to go back to work after one week but that seems too soon.  Maybe two weeks will be better.  I will just have to wait and see how I feel.  At first I thought the time would drag on forever but it's going by quickly.  June 10th will be here before I know it lol.  I can hardly wait!

Angela:

From my own experience I would not have been able to go back to work for a minimum of two weeks and that would be going back for half days only.  You are physically and mentality tired.  From all the antibiotics, pain meds and anything else that you are taking, you feel drained.  I did not get all my drains removed until the end of the third week and I would not want to go to work with those in.  They tend to pull in all the wrong places.  I have taken four weeks off full time and plan to go back next week only part time.  I think we get to feeling good and decide we are not wimps and we can handle whatever is dished out to us only to move or strain something and suddenly we have seromas/openings of our scar tissue.  Your body needs to rest and recoup from a surgery of this magnitude.  Just my two cents.

Thanks Tess.  After reading your posts and other's posts about their experience, I'm convinced I should be off work at least 2 week if not 3 or 4 weeks.  I certainly don't want to have any complications.
