Back On Track Together
What are you eating?
I make the 'Bites' in all shapes and forms from EggFace's website. They're basically mini-quiches. They're a staple of mine since they can be done in a ton of different ways and flavors.
I also do wraps with low-carb tortillas. Again, by using all sorts of fillings.
String Cheese and Yogurt are my snacks that I usually have around.
Read back over some of the postings here. I post daily, and so do some others. I eat low carb every day, and rarely eat salads because I'm not a "salad type", but I do love my vegetables. I've lost 30 lbs since starting here on Feb. 26. I also work out almost daily on my recumbent bike.
You can glean several ideas from what everyone eats by reading their posts. Of course, it's a matter of personal preference, but I've found many food ideas here. Give it a try, and good luck to you :)
I meant to add that low carb doesn't have to mean salads all the time. I eat the way I intend to eat from now on....not just to "diet" to get the regain off, but eating the way I want to eat even after the regain is gone. It's healthy and I feel wonderful, but I could use more fruits. Fortunately, summer berries are in season and lower in carbs. Can't wait for the cantaloupes and honeydews!
Breakfast is usually coffee or almond mik with protein powder.
Although I do love salads I eat proteins and veggies in lots of different ways...I eat veggies raw, roasted, sautéed, grilled, in chopped salads with feta cheese, with different dressings and dips. I modify recipes. I eat what my family is eating but skip the carb (spaghetti sauce no spaghetti, stir fry no rice unless I want some brown rice, taco salal no shell, etc) We grill lots of different meats ... Pork, chicken, steak, burgers, shrimp. I eat natural nut butters, eggs in many forms, cheeses, Greek yogurt. There are SO many options.
