Just logged on tonight and didn't see a C&C for today, so here it is.  Yes, I'm anal, but sometimes, it's a good thing :)

Got most of my water in today (so far), and got my recumbent bike workout done for 30 mins, covering 3.6 miles.  My back has been very agreeable since my procedure over a week ago, so riding the bike has allowed me to build up some stamina.  Yesterday was even better, and I shall continue to work on it daily.

Today I ate:

B:  protein shake made w/coffee, 1/3 c 1% milk and 2 tbsp half&half

S:  1/2 c fresh strawberries

L:  leftover stir fry chicken with onions, broccoli, mushrooms (no rice or noodles)

S:  1/2 c fresh strawberries

D:  meatball "sub" with lean beef, red bell peppers and onions in marinara topped w/low fat mozzarella on sandwich thin

S:  might add another protein shake if I'm up as late as I usually am.  I'll be so glad when my new shipment of bars arrives.

Goodnight BOTT friends!

Thanks for posting. I was SO hungry all day. The only thing I changed was working out in the morning (45 minutes on treadmill) instead of later in the day. I managed to stay on my eating plan though, under 1200 calories, 128 ounces fluids, all vitamins in.

B protein coffee
S light fit Greek yogurt, protein granola
L 2 hard boiled eggs, carrots, ranch
S none
D asparagus, corned beef, sauerkraut, LF Thousand Island, Swiss cheese, cantaloupe, 1 square SF chocolate
S SF pudding, scoop protein powder

You did great!  When that all day hunger hits me, I fill it with low cal vegs like cucumbers, roasted (with spritz of olive oil spray) asparagus or green beans, berries or a thick icy protein shake.  That usually helps me.

Great ideas, thanks! The extra fluids just weren't working.

I know just what you mean.  It's also a way to get in your vegs (and help your plumbing stay healthy :)

EATS

Early Morning:  2 cups coffee w/SF hazelnut creamer

B:  Unjury protein shake, 3 oz baked breaded chicken breast (leftovers)

S:  Atkins protein bar

L:  WW Smart One entrée, apple

S:  none

D:  Baked breaded fish and ?

S:  Vitacake

TOTALS:   1333 Calories, 105g Protein

I’m not big on protein bars but I’ve been eating one every day for over a week now.  I don’t know how much longer I can stand it…lol.  Atkins are the only ones I think taste okay other than Quest Apple so I think I will get some of those and maybe get a flavor of Quest bar that I haven’t tried yet.  I’m trying to get plenty of protein for my upcoming TT surgery and the bars are a great choice for something high protein so I will try to hang in there and keep eating them.

My favorite Quest bars are chocolate brownie, chocolate chip cookie dough (extra yummy!), and banana nut muffin. I warm them in the microwave for 14 seconds. Sometimes I spread natural peanut butter on top of the brownie bar.

Although lower in protein and fiber and higher in carbs, I love the taste and crunch of the Zone chocolate caramel, chocolate mint, and chocolate peanut butter bars.

My favorite Quest is Vanilla almond!
