Good Morning Botts:

I am back in the saddle for a little while.  My pain is know around a 4 and I am not quite so out of it.  My surgeon was awesome.  It removed a 6 inch swatch of skin around 90 percent of my body which equals 4 lbs. of skin/fat.  I have internal stitches, external staples and some huge tension sutures that I am not looking forward to getting remove, but he made me look great.  I may not be posting every day but will try to check in each day.  Thank you for all the prayers and good wishes.  I have been feeling them.  Take care.

Good evening, BOTT friends,

Posting early (for me) tonight.  Had a very busy day cleaning my kitchen, cooking and babysitting.  Made pancakes for the whole family and invited them over.  I don't eat them, so I didn't have to worry about going off my plan.  I did attack the fresh strawberries today though, but I always eat them as is with no sweeteners.

I got my recumbent bike workout in twice today...felt very good each time with more energy than I've had in days.  Must be the new iron pills working their mojo.  I got in a total of 65 mins, covering 9.8 miles!  I did kinda overdo the sodium when I ate turkey bacon, but calorie wise it was ok, and fat was better than having the real thing.  Today I ate:

B:  protein shake made w/coffee, 1/4 c 1% milk and 1 tbsp half&half, 5 strips turkey bacon (1hr after shake)

S:  1 c fresh strawberries

L:  protein shake made w/6ozs 1% milk, 1/2 c fresh strawberries

S:  1/2 c  fresh strawberries

D:  chicken stir-fry with broccoli, onions and mushrooms, low sodium chicken stock and light soy sauce (no rice or noodles)

Hope everyone has a good night, and hope you're resting comfortably, Tess.
