Back On Track Together
Thursday, April 4th, Cardio & Cafe
Good Morning Botts:
It is a rainy start to my Thursday morning here in Mississippi but I am looking forward to the weekend temperatures of 75 degrees. My eats for today are:
Breakfast: Coffee & Miralax
Snack: Quest Brownie Bar
Lunch: Going to lunch with boss (will pick wisely)
Snack: Quest Cookie Dough Bar
Dinner: Protein Shake
Snack: Vitatop
Two weeks until my upcoming surgery and I am fighting a cold. Got to get rid of it soon. Have a great Thursday and remember those vits and fluids.
Good Morning!! Having a great day so far. The new computer system at work has been a little chaotic - just because it's different - but is honestly making my job a little easier and has the potential to make us a much more effective department. Just gotta iron out a few more little kinks.
I've got a nutritionist appointment this afternoon. I'm actually looking forward to it. I'm always curious to see how much a medical professional actually knows about weight loss surgery and if I'll leave an appointment as the educator or the educated. It's a slippery slope. I'm going in with a positive outlook.
Commute: coffee
Breakfast: 1/2 Peanut butter & banana tortilla (my favorite on the go breakfast)
Lunch: chicken chili with lots of beans
snack: protein bar
dinner: Fajitas (probably chicken)
Just brewed a fresh batch of decaf iced tea. Getting my morning vitamins in and hopefully a long walk this afternoon after I get in from my appointment.
Blessed are the flexible for they shall not be bent out of shape.

Hi Angela:
I posted a reply to you twice last night and my computer kept shutting me down. I guess it was late by its standards. Thanks so much for the well wishes on my upcoming surgery. June will be here soon for yours too. It is hard to believe that my surgery is just around the corner. I booked in January. Time is definitely on the fast track. I hope you have a great day today.
Tess, that's not much food! Unless lunch is really big... . I wish I could eat that little.
My plan for today:
B-- latte'
L--yogurt & boiled egg
S--taco
D--taco and 1/2 cup pico de gallo
s--protein cocoa, oatmeal, 1/2 c. peaches
My Fitness Pal says that's 941 calories and 84 g protein.
Yesterday once again I was on plan and happy about it until nighttime. I ate about 300 cal. worth of cheese and then went on to eat my regularly scheduled bedtime meal of protein cocoa and oatmeal with fruit. Dang it! Nights are hard.
I pack the most punch in proteins with the least amount of calories. My pouch is so sensitive to big meals. Yesterday for lunch I ate 3 bites of a lasagna roll, 1 green bean, 2 bites of potatoes and 1 spoon of corn and I was stuffed. Did not touch the rolls or the devil food cake. I can consume a large amount of slider foods though, ie chips, cookies, crackers which I try to avoid like the plague. I will never say that this plan is easy that I follow only that it is doeable if you are determine. Have a great day!
Good afternoon, BOTT friends,
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO ME!!! HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO ME!!!
Today, April 4, 2013 marks the 13th anniversary of my RNY! I don't usually announce with such fanfare, but I feel so good because I have new friends here to share it with :)
13 years ago, I was wheeled into the OR at 344 lbs that I thought I'd never lose. I reached my lowest weight of 167 lbs approximately 15 months or so later. As I mentioned on a post a few days ago, that 167 lbs was for a "hot 5 minutes".
My weight yo-yo'd for years as re-gain started creeping up. I reached my maximum regained weight of 238 just prior to joining BOTT in Feb, which was the absolutely BEST move I ever made in the weight loss area, short of having RNY in the first place. But I am on my way down now at 217.5, and I owe thanks to God and all the wonderful people here who have offered me a place to fulfill my needs, to help in fulfilling the needs of others, and to just, belong.
I am so happy to see new (and old) posters open up to BOTT, and it remains one of my pleasures, each and every day!
Have a great day, friends
Shelia
