They do work for me. Any time I have a weight gain, I can go all protein and drop about five pounds in about a ten days. Right now I am upping my protein to about 115 grams a day getting ready for surgery in two weeks. My calorie count is around 800 a day to lose weight. I maintain my weight at 1200 calories a day. Mainly, if you will increase your proteins and decrease your carbs you should lose weight. For me I have to keep my calories between 800 - 1000 to lose though.
