I wouldn't say it's been a great week so far...it's been rather stressful and busy. Work has been hectic - first of the month is always a bit busier but when you add in a holiday weekend and a brand new computer system it borders more on chaos. The great thing about that is I've been to busy to even consider wandering into the breakroom for a snack. Then there's home and spring break.....the manchild and the kiddos have never been "taught" the finer points of cleaning up after themselves. Lucky for them they were quick learners and my rampage didn't have to turn into a full blown warpath when I came home yesterday. But here again I was to busy cleaning and picking up to even think about snacking while dinner cooked. There's an upside to most everything.

Tomorrow is my nutritionist appointment for the hypoglycemia. I haven't had any more full blown episodes. I did catch myself the last two days waiting to long between my meals and I started feeling a little "fuzzy". That went away as soon as I ate. The only thing that it's really affected was I delayed a trip to the mountains to see my son since I was going to have to go by myself and I'm just not comfortable driving the 5 hours alone until I have a little better handle on it (triggers and treatment). All things considered I'm dealing with it.

Todays plan:

wake up:  Protein bar

commute:  coffee

Breakfast:  scrambled eggs & cheese

Lunch:   Mexican crockpot chicken

snack:   celery & peanut butter

dinner:    broiled tilapia & mixed veggies

Hi Iris:

Sorry about all the stress with the new computer system but glad you found the plus side of it by not having time for a snack.  Every time you make the mexican crockpot chicken, I immediately want to go home and make it too.  Gosh, that sounds wonderful, maybe tomorrow.  I hope you have a good check up tomorrow.  When I travel and I am usually am the driver, I eat a protein bar about every two hours.  Keeps everything on an even keel with no highs or lows.  Have a great day, chat with you later.

We currently have 4 crockpots full of the chicken cooking. The entire courthouse smells incredible. It's the custodian's birthday. She's an incredible lady so all the departments are celebrating. Our department did the chicken. Another has all the side items to go with it. One dept bought a huge cake and another brought drinks. YUMMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OMGYG, I did not binge last night! I wasn't 100% on plan, but pretty close. I did drink my protein cocoa as planned. I had a packet of protein snacky things instead of edamame, which I didn't feel like roasting. Also I went to my first hula class. If they don't kick me out, it's going to be a lot of fun. In the immortal words of the Beatles, I may be a lover but I ain't no dancer.

I have to run off now to see a psychologist in hopes that he will adjust my brain. Will post food plan later. I'm just so excited about yesterday I had to tell you! Thank you!
