Back On Track Together
Tuesday, April 2nd, Cardio & Cafe
Good evening BOTT friends,
Great to see more activity here. I love when there are several posts to read. Well, this is day 2 of my working out on my recumbent bike. I did 2 sessions today, 35 mins and 25 mins tonight for a total 1 hr workout. Have to go fairly slow, but my back felt fine and my legs and thighs are doing all the work. Managed almost 6.5 miles!
Watched tv and talked on the phone as I worked out. Phone conversations make working out much faster for me...I look at the time and it has flown by. My plan is to do it every day, because I've got to keep up my muscle strength in my lower body to take some of the load off my back.
Another bit of news is that I've been out of the 220's for a few days now. Started the pouch test on Feb 26 at 238 lbs, as of this morning, the scale read 217.5 I don't expect to continue at that rate, and reached 2 plateaus on the way, but I am as determined as ever to get under 200, then slowly down to my first goal of 170, then 160 and maybe 150, God willing. My lowest post-op weight was 167 for a hot 5 minutes!
Today I ate:
B: 2/3 of McDonald's fruit and maple oatmeal (more fruit than oatmeal...ate the apples, left most of the raisins and cranberries), coffee with half&half, Splenda
L: 4 ozs low sodium deli ham on sandwich thin with mustard, lots of lettuce, tomato and 1 dill pickle spear
S: protein shake
D: 6 ozs lean beef burger (no bun) with 1 sl cheese, mustard, 1 tbsp ketchup, 1 tbsp pickle relish
S: 3 ozs KFC grilled chicken breast
Got most of my water in, working on the rest now. Good night, BOTT family and sweet dreamzzzz!
Thank you so much, Tess and Iris! My husband used to say I was the most sentimental woman on the planet :) I teared up reading your posts this morning, because you just don't know (and maybe you do) the difference this group has made in my life. The day I decided to return to OH, and found BOTT, is a day marked in my memory forever!
Everyone should know that the amount of support here is TREMENDOUS!! and I say to myself every day that should I drop the ball, I will have the ability to pick it up and play again as long as I remain accountable. So today starts yet another day of healthy eating and exercise. One day at a time.
