Good evening, BOTT friends,
Well, I finally did it this evening. I rode my recumbent bike for the first time in about a year. I used to use my treadmill, but since my injury, walking is out, especially on the treadmill due to risk of falling. Anyway, I started slow and it was pure misery at first, as I've been pretty much housebound for the last 5 months. I'm usually very active, and I fished and crabbed 3-4 nights a week during the season (before my injury).
I just pushed on and completed 31 mins covering 2.5 miles. I felt great afterward, and my back was fine the whole time. I need the cardio so I can build up my stamina since my muscular strength is in the toilet right now. I can't lift anything, no bending, stooping, climbing stairs other than the ones in my home (which I fell down the other day). But the bike is on the ok list....Yay!!!
Today I ate:
B: egg salad made with lite mayo, sandwich thin, 1 slice bacon
S: protein shake
L: KFC grilled chicken breast, 1/2 c pasta sauce (without the pasta)
S: 1/2 dill pickle
D: KFC grilled chicken leg and wing
S: apple slices, 1 Laughing Cow cheese wedge
