5 Day Pouch Test
Good Morning!
Has anyone done the 5 day pouch test? I don't think I have stretched mine because I can't eat a lot still. What I do is to graze all day and I know that is how I regained my weight. I was wondering if I did the test if it would be good. I'm thinking it may get me back to the rules of eating the right way after wls.
Does anyone have any thoughts for me?
I can't so that. What works for me - when I try to de-carb is 3-4 shakes a day plus a low carb meal : proteins + non starchy veggies. I can do that for a few days.
The 5DPT allow to use milk and other liquids that may be higher in carbs. If you know your pouch is small - then decarbing may be a way to go.

The only liquid I used during my 5DPT was water, a variety of low sodium broths, sf jello and sf popsicles. I made my protein shakes with water only. I didn't do the cream soups...I made my own roasted butternut squash soup (low cal and low fat), and used that with the broths and protein shakes for days 1&2.
Same with days 3, 4, & 5....water only, with sf jello and sf popsicles for snacks. When I use milk now, it's almond milk (Silk unsweetened vanilla at 30 cals per 8ozs, < 1 Gm carbs).
You did very good...
Then your 5DPT was not only that - but also low carbs - for decarbing. On a standard 5DPT - they do not suggest that...
