Back On Track Together
Thursday, March 28th, Cardio & Cafe
Good evening BOTT friends,
As usual, it's late and I am just getting around to posting but that's ok. I don't feel my day is complete until I do. I found out today that almond milk DOES work as a coffee creamer (that was a question I asked yesterday), so I can stop using the little cups of liquid creamer.
I've found that as an infrequent coffee drinker, I actually like mixing my chocolate whey stack with cold coffee and a little creamer. I partially freeze the coffee, then add the protein powder and creamer (now almond milk as of today) and blend with my stick blender. It's delicious, icy and I like it a lot better than the plain protein made with water or even with almond milk.
Today I ate:
Pre-breakfast: protein shake w/coffee, 1/4 c almond milk
B: sandwich thin w/1 egg and 1 egg white, 3 ozs deli boiled ham, 1 thin slice colby cheese
S: 6 ozs Light & Fit yogurt
L: 3 ozs KFC grilled chicken breast, 1/2 c grape tomatoes, 1/2 kosher dill pickle
S: 1/2 above protein shake
D: 5 oz lean burger (no bun) w/1 sl cheese, 1 tbsp pickle relish and ketchup, mustard, 1/3 c roasted grape tomatoes and 1/2 c collard greens
Working on the last half of my water now while I watch late night tv. Sweet dreamzzzz to all!
Hi Shelia:
I am still up too! Waiting on my son to get back from prom. I gave 12 tubes of blood today for my lab work about 1 1/2 pints of blood. Talk about being a pale face. My left arm actually went dry and they had to switch to my right arm to finish. Never had that to happen before. I decided to have 1/2 a steak burger for dinner tonight. I figured that I need the red meat for the iron. My son text saying that he and several of his friends want to go to another friend's house after prom. He wants me to bring extra clothes and two PS controllers and meet him there at 1:00 AM. Whoo Hoo for me.....I guess I will go and pack him up. Have a good evening.
Wow, they had to getcha twice, huh? Drawing blood is one of the best things I like about my job. And don't worry, I'm really good at it and my patients' comments are proof (patting myself on the back, lol!
Sounds like they are being very thorough so that's always a good sign. The red meat is a plus, also. You will tell us about your preparation beforehand, won't you? I'd like to hear all the details you can provide just in case I have an opportunity to have P.S. myself. Thought I'd run into some cash Tues or Wed, but Mega Millions and Powerball wouldn't cooperate :)
Happy to hear about your son and prom. My twin daughters attended their prom, but my very handsome son declined his. Looks like he has never regretted it though. I just said, to each his own and let it rest. At least I got a chance to see him in a tuxedo on his wedding day.
You have a good night yourself, and be careful out there.
