Good Morning Botts:

I am dragging on Good Friday.  My son had a fantastic Prom last night and did not want it to end.  The boys got together and decided to pull an all nighter at one of the boys house.  Sooooo, at 1:00 AM I am on the road to get my son for a change of clothes, PS games and a trip 10 miles up the road to a friend's house.  I fiInally crawl in bed around 1:45 AM.  And, yet, I am up at 8:30 AM.  Go me......I actually have a head cold and sore throat and that is what got me up.  My eats for today are:

Breakfast:  Coffee & Miralax

Snack:  Quest Apple Bar

Lunch:  protein shake

Snack:  Quest Apple Bar

Dinner:  Meat & Vegetables, not sure what yet

Snack:  Vitatop

Have a great good Friday.  Remember, take your vitamins and drink your fluids.  By the way, they took 12 tubes of blood yesterday for my lab work up.  That is a total of 1 1/2 pints of blood.  That might be why I felt totally "drained" yesterday.  Have a good one.

Good evening BOTT friends,

Tess, I hope your son had a very nice and memorable prom with lots of pics.  A  stressful (and expensive) time of the school year, but very well worth it.

It's 11:34 pm, so that means it's time for me to post and sit back to watch my late nite TV shows.  Today was a very eventful (and painful) day.  I did something really stupid that my daughters have warned me about for eons.  I walked downstairs carrying a plate, cup and bowl in my right hand, 2 small bags of trash from the wastebaskets in my left hand, all while talking to my son in Japan with my cell phone held against my shoulder and ear.

Well, I misjudged my step 2 steps from the bottom stair and took the hardest fall to my hands and knees!  And I've been out from work since October with a spinal fracture and spinal instability, to boot!  I was afraid to move at first because I felt immediate pain in my back and just knew I had done some major damage.

Meanwhile, my son was freaking on the phone because he didn't know what was going on.  He said I sounded like I was being attacked.  Anyway, I'm in bed with more back pain than usual, a sprained foot and a big rug burn on my right knee.  I have got to stop trying to do 2000 things at one time, and today has scared me into that realization.  My doctor said to rest, take your pain meds and "let me know if it gets worse so we can xray".  The way I feel tonight, he should've done the xrays anyway, but that is a whole other story and this post is long enough.

Suffice to say I have learned my lesson the hard way.  Today I ate:

B:  2 eggs and 1 egg white, 3 ozs chopped ham, sandwich thin with 2 tsps butter substitute

S:  protein bar

L:  3 1/2 ozs turkey meatballs in marinara, 1 tbsp parmesan, 1/2 c collard greens

S:  KFC medium sized chicken thigh (skin removed)

D:  1 c tuna salad with light mayo, lots of lettuce, small tomato

That's it for me today.  And I finally got all my water in before midnight, but will continue sipping while I watch TV.  Goodnight to all, and sweet dreamzzzz!

Hi Shelia:

I hope you are feeling better this morning.  As women we seem to think that we can multi task a dozen different things at the same time without paying the price.  If the pain does not get any better go see the doctor and don't let it linger.  Take care.

Thanks, Tess....actually, I am feeling a lot better than last night.  I'm still sore, and bruised, but the back and foot feel better and that's a very good thing.  I am already facing the possibility of a back surgery, so I really don't want to bring it on any sooner.  The knee is a little swollen and tight, but manageable.

I'll have to keep this fall in mind, because I just grab whatever needs to be moved and head up or downstairs with loaded arms all the time.

Hope you have a great day!
