Okay Hala.  What did you put under the hood to make it smoke?  We know you just want a new CAR!  My poor old van is 10 years old and I got to have at least 2 more years from it before I can get something semi new.  Glad you were skinny enough to crawl on over and glad you were okay.  I understand a little wine does the heart good. kiss

Good afternoon Tess and Botts:

Late posting again, that's because I'm playing catch up on my work from being sick last week. But it's okay, the day goes by much quicker.

Including protein shakes in my meal plan helps me to achieve the protein goal of 70 to 100 grams.

I'm so glad I caught what I was doing incorrectly. Not weighing and measuring is so not good! And not journaling your food too, because now I can see where I was really overeating, a little this, a little that! It does add up!

Anyway, it is about 48 degrees here in CT, it feels nice after the windy day and night we had yesterday. We have a storm coming tomorrow night into Thursday. I really hope for the first time in my life that it's minimal and it melts quickly!! I do want a little more warmth these days. LOL!

My eats for today are:

Coffee: 2 (12 oz) cups - 2 pkts of raw sugar each, about 2 TBSP of 2% milk each cup.

Vitamins, water

BREAKFAST:  1/3 cup of cooked oatmeal (I "HEART" OATMEAL), with cinnamon, and 1 SPLENDA PKT. and about 1/4 cup of 2% milk, 1/2 small banana

LUNCH: 1 14 oz. Muscle Milk Light, 5 baby carrots

BEFORE DINNER: 1 boiled egg

DINNER: 1 whiting filet fried, honey glazed baby carrots, whole grain brown rice (1/3 cup)

AFTER DINNER: Another Protein drink   = 84 Grams of Protein for the day with 161 calories left over.

Tracking done on LIVESTRONG.COM

Have a blessed day everyone!!  And thanking everyone for all their well wishes for my speedy recovery!! Much appreciated!!

Hi Scherrie:

So glad you are journaling now.  It really is an eye opener when you see where are the calories are coming from.  Plus, increasing your protein will make you feel so much better too!  Have a great Wednesday.

I ate really differently today, but I ended up with everything except I was missing 2 fruit servings.  We have had snow all day today  and it is continuing for a little while longer.  Tomorrow we will be slightly above freezing...finally!  My Mazda Miata is 13 years old and has 90,000 miles on it.  I can't drive it in the winter though.  When I gain weight it fits tight...seriously.  The new ones are actually bigger than mine.  I have had a wonderful time with it though...lots of fun in the summer with the top down.  I usually can't open the trunk because I keep my bike rack on it most of the time.  Not the most practical car.  I can't wait for spring and summer!  Tri

Okay.  I think your car is the oldest, Hala's has the most mileage but I am definitely in the middle.  My car is 10 years old and has 160,000 miles on it.  I think we all need new cars.....

I am hoping my car lasts another 5 years because it is so much fun to drive.  The new Miatas are bigger and more complicated.  Mine is simple...stick shift, manual roof, key locks,  etc.  It does have a wonderful Bose stereo though.  13 years ago CD players were new and it still works (as does the cassette player   Tri
