It's been to long...

Hello BOT Family and Friends,

My name is Genie and I had my surgery In January 2007.  When I had my surgery I weighed in at 265lbs. and I currently weigh 198lbs. Slowly climbing in the wrong direction.

I use to frequent this site and got away from viewing and posting.  It is so funny how easy it is to slip back into our old bad habits.  It seems like I can eat almost anything with no restriction which I find very frustrating.

Well I'm back and hopefully I can get my act together and get back on track for good.

Hi Genie!  I'm a newbie to this site but not new to WLS.  Had mine on 4/4/2000.  You are so right about how easy it is to slip back into old habits.  I'm just so glad I found BOTT and the encouraging people here.  Welcome back :)

Welcome! I had my surgery about 2 years ago, and I totally know what you mean about so easy to fall into old habits. Hence why I am here. I wish you the very best!

We are all in this together. Finding BOTT was one of the best things that happened to me post-op. I needed to be reminded that other people had been down the same path.

It's easy to stop posting when you're on the main forum or your surgery forum. You're surrounded by newbies who are in that honeymoon phase and are going to lose weight----regardless of what they do. We've entered the hard work phase of our journey(S).

You'll find this group to be very welcoming and encouraging. Welcome aboard.

Hi Genie:

I remember you!  I am so glad you are back in the fold.  It is very hard to stay on track without some form of support.  I find that when I do not journal, I will over eat because there is no record of what I am eating.  I am cheating on myself.  Obviously, you can't trust anyone including yourself.  I hope you can find what you are looking for and get your momentum in overdrive.  Good to have you back.
