Friday, March 1st, Cardio & Cafe

I really thought I had already posted this morning....that should give yall an indication of just how crazy my office has been this week. I'm so thankful that today is Friday. I've got lots of fun, productive projects planned for the weekend. During these past few dreary weeks I've scanned every seed catalog known to man and I've planned 2 new raised vegetable garden beds for the backyard. I'm going to get the beds built and the soil prepped for my plants. Spring is right around the corner and I can't wait. Coming home in the evenings and puttering around my garden is my favorite form of therapy.  

Since I started getting myself back on track I had set aside March 1 as THE day to really get headed in the right direction. Today is the day. I've been practicing my positive self-talk. (I CAN do this. I AM successful. I AM worth the effort. I WILL reach onederland. etc)And I came across a really neat saying that I have taped to my computer....EAT LESS CRAP: C-Carbonated Drinks R-Refined Sugars A-Artificial Sweeteners & Colors P-Processed Foods  EAT MORE FOOD: F-Fruits & Veggies O-Organic Lean Protein O-Omega 3 Fatty acids D-Drink Water. It's as simple as that. Add in 30 minutes of Daily exercise and I've got this. Watch out world here I come.

I've had the morning vitamins and daily meds. I'm on glass #3 of Unsweet decaf iced tea. So far ---so good.

Commute:    Small coffee with 2 splenda and half and half  (down from my normal large coffee with 8 packets)

Breakfast:      Strawberry protein bar

snack:             1/2 a vanilla protein shake

Lunch:            Chef Salad

snack:             1/2 vanilla protein shake

Dinner:           Grilled steak and asparagus

Blessed are the flexible for they shall not be bent out of shape.

Good afternoon everyone

I am here in Louisiana and facing  all the typical food demons.  I think I am okay.  I am letting myself eat what I enjoy in small amounts.

 

Breakfast    protein pudding

lunch           1 boudin ball 1/2 link crawfish boudin

snack           pass

dinner           protein  shake

 

tomorrow I have a high school reunion lunch but will be mindful of what I order.  It will be a simple grilled shrimp salad or a grilled fish of some kind.  Will not eat more than half of it.  The rest of the day will be protein shakes.  I will prove to myself that I can enjoy social occasions and not go nuts.  This is a life change but life does go on.

Good evening Tess and botts:

I can't believe that there are only 20 days until spring.  I was at Walmart today and the snow banks are at least 12 ft. high.  It will be below freezing for another week before any melting will take place.  It was a good day today.  Tri

My eats:

B: 3/4 cup egg beaters, 1 sl rf Swiss cheese, mushrooms, green onion and chopped green peppers 150

S: Greek yogurt and a banana 220

L: veggie soup, spinach, tomato and cucumber salad with fat free dressing, 3 oz. pork tenderloin and 1 cup pasta 450

S: 3 oz. pork tenderloin 150

D: 3 oz. pork tenderloin and 1 cup pasta, veggie soup and tomato/cucumber salad 420

Today's exercise 6 pack:

1. wash dark load and put them away

2. wash bed sheets and remake bed

3. vacuum the upstairs

4. clean the master bathroom

5. clean the master bedroom

6.  1/6 triathlon
