Hi all! Kimberly here from Pa/Oh. I had my RNY in jan of 2011. I started at 341. My lowest weight was Memorial Day weekend 2012. I was down to 185 and a size 10-12. My weight has ballooned to an all time post op high of 208. I had been hanging around 195 but lately all Ive wanted to do is eat and eat, carbs at that. I truly feel as out of control food and mental wise as to before I had surgery. Im very scared. My goal wt is 170, but even getting back down to under 200, then 185 by ssummer I would feel a lot better about myself and my body. I just want to be in control again. Right now it feels like the food addiction and my emotions are ruling me. All my negative thoughts are coming back to which doesnt help. I have tracked my food intake today and keep plannibg on soing that. Also went for 20 min walkdespite back and neck pain so severe I have to see pain nanagement. Thanks all for listening, caring, and being an inspiration.

Hi Kimberly

Take a deep breath and don't panic !!!

First look at the good.   You are down 133 pounds, no small feat.

Now keep tracking your food as you are doing today.

Look at what you are eating and make a plan.

If you can't remember what you should be doing, call your surgeon's office and ask to meet with the nutritionist and review what you should be eating.

Keep posting here for support.  We all have the same issues.  there is no magic bullet.  We have been given a tool, that's all.  It is a great tool but we still must work to maintain and to loose any regain.  The key is to not berate ourselves until we just give up and go back to all the bad habits we had pre-surgery.  You can do this.

Hi Kimberly:

Linda is correct.  You can get back on track and you are still a great success.  Remember when you were a newbie and go back to the basics like in the beginning.  Do shakes for a few days just to detox your body off of carbs.  You will feel so much better and it will give you a jump start on your weight loss again.  Come here daily and read and post your menu if you would like.  Journaling keeps me honest.  I love participating on this board.  Welcome to back on track.
