Hello Everyone,

I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Tressa and I had Rny surgery Feb 2010. At that time I lost 160 lbs.My husband also had RNY surgery, but in 2009. Anyway I have struggled this past year. I have put on 20-25 lbs. A knee injury in March of 2012 started it because I stopped working out for a few weeks, which then turned into a few months. Then my usual depression that hits around November and lasts to February kicked in real bad. I believe the exercising in the past kept it mild while not exercising those months magnified it. And enter in the old habits of grazing and occasional soda. I see the old me fighting to get back and I swore she wasn't  going to be allowed around anymore. So here I am. Looking to the group for some motivation and a kick in the pants to get back on track. I have a phone meeting with a nutritionist on Thursday. I will see if he is familiar with gastric bypass patients and go from there. I started to walk on my lunch instead of reading my nook( I'm addicted to that thing and that has caused hours of no movement). My husband is struggling on his end with the weight and diabetes but as much as he loves me  he doesn't have it in him to be a support buddy. He is in a different place and I'm realizing I have to take care of myself and stop looking to others to do it for me. So here I am warts and all..... and I will also love to give back and help anyone else who needs an extra boost.

Looking forward meeting you.

Tressa

Hi Tressa:

So good to have you here.  Be proud that you recognized your regain at 25 lbs and did not wait until it was 75 or more.  I think we all have had the winter ho hums this year.  I think this spring we are all going to hit the road running with exercise and feel good about it.  We are always here daily for food posts and anything else you want to discuss.  We will all be your support buddy.  Glad to have you on board.

Hi Tressa and welcome.

You are ahead of the game.  Good thinking to get back on track now.  As Tessa said some of us didn't pani****il we hit a 75 pound regain or more.  I was one.  I regained 79 pounds and since I have been posting here I have lost 18 of it.  Still far to go.  We can do this together.
