Oh well, new day, new start. My eats and cardio for today are:

You are absolutely right. I think I may have some underlaying stress thinking about my up coming surgery in April. I don't know why except that I am up 3 lbs when I was trying to take off 5 lbs. I think that is stressing me. My husband reminded me yesterday that surgery is 2 months away on trying to wrap up some of my plastics. I think I am putting to much pressure on mysel***** to back away a little and re-evaluate what is going on with me.
I feel like warm dookie...I haven't had a head cold in years and now I've got a sore throat and runny nose. YUCK!!!! I feel like whining. I think I'm going to leave work early and go home and hibernate until tomorrow. I hope I can keep the carb monster at bay today - it was viscious yesterday.
Wake Up: Blueberry Protein bar
Breakfast: small piece of Blueberry French toast at work for a co-workers going away breakfast
Lunch: Chili w/ beans (finishing yesterday's lunch)
snack: Protein Bar (Peanut Butter)
Dinner: Chicken Tortilla soup
Trying to get lots of fluids in to flush this out but with a sore throat I don't want to swallow anything. Getting ready to take my daily meds and some of the morning vitamins.
Blessed are the flexible for they shall not be bent out of shape.

What works well for me is home made egg drop soup. Measure 1 cup of chicken stock, (veggie stock or beef) .. heat it up. Mix 1-2 eggs with a splash of milk (or water) ... add some spices to the stock.. (I like a bit of pepper, garlic and ginger), once the stock is boiling - pour slowly the egg mixture into the pot. When the soup start bubbling again - remove from the stove and serve. I like mine with fresh dill or basil... so easy on the pouch, so good for you... great for cold or just because I need comfort food. If I want that more "diet food" I use one egg+ egg whites... (less calories - same proteins)

Even my "normal" BF loves that. Specially on cold day - great way to start a meal. Great way to deliver proteins with irritated pouch... or during any cold -sinus issues when nothing taste good.
For a "normal" egg drop soup - you can mix some flour with the eggs (not much) and that make it more "egg noodle" type consistency. Adding corn starch to the stock - makes is more like "Chinese egg drop soup - thicker" consistency..
I make mine just with eggs... and I do not add starch..

My cold over Christmas seriously lasted 8 weeks. It was in my head, ears and chest. I took Mussinex DM pills (12 hour release and no carbs as in liquid cough medicine) and Tylenol. A friend last week said she put Vicks on her feet and put on socks and that helped her. Many people end up on antibiotics. My doctor likes me to fight them off myself. I hope you feel better. Tri
I am at the tail end of my head cold. I thought it was completely over but I was wrong. Its been 10 days and my doctor told me it could take 2 weeks to recover. I am so lucky to be retired, that allowed to to stay in bed when I felt I needed to. If I was working I would not have been able to take that much time off and would have just infected the entire school. Get as much rest as you can.
