The sun is shining but it's COLD. I can't stand it when my feet get cold so now I'm sitting at my desk with 2 pairs of socks on sipping my 2nd large mug of coffee. I'm ready for spring time and warmer weather. Not sure that I'll make it to the Y after work this afternoon, I've got tons of housework and laundry to catch up on after being gone for the weekend. I've got a start on my vitamins for the day. Soon switching to my decaf tea and water intake.

Commute:       Protein Bar & coffee (splenda & french vanilla creamer)

Breakfast:        Eggs

Lunch:              Chili w/beans

snack:              Cheese & whole wheat flat bread crackers'

Dinner:             Chicken tortilla soup

Amen on the feet!  I have a little heater that is under my desk and runs the entire time I am at work.  I can not stand cold feet.  If I could type with gloves on then my hands would be covered too!  The chili w/beans sounds yummy!  I may have to rethink my menu for today.

Good Morning Tess and Bott'ers... My weekly check -in.

Cold here also... I normally don't get cold but I got cold last night... Woke up at 4am and could not get back to sleep... so I went downstairs, drank my coffee eat some Thai chicken ... and fell asleep on the sofa ..lol... my phone wake me up at 6...

My eating is not that great. I was sick - the stomach virus last week and I still can't eat much solid foods... so it is mostly liquids and yogurt... Nuts are also OK most of the time.

The positive is that my weight is back to the "range" but when I start eating - it probably would get up higher than that.  I do plan to talk to my doc and see if he might decide to go "in" sometimes this year and check and remove adhesions... The pain after eating solids it getting old.  Unfortunately the doc I want to see is impossible to get appointment to...so I need to find a way to do that, since he would be the one I would like to operate on me... if that is what we would need to do...

My RH is very much under control. I can go for hours not eating and my BS is stable... I do avoid most carbs, even fruits, but overall I gave up starchy carbs - and eliminated gluten from my diet.

This week I need to concentrate on getting enough proteins and water in. And my vitamins.  My renters moved out so cleaning the house, trimming bushes, and overall work there will be my main exercise for this and next week.

Sorry about the stomach virus last week, I know that was not fun and is a tough way to drop a few pounds.  Hope you get another renter soon.  Your doctor sounds like my Gyno, I have to make my appointments almost a year in advance.  So glad you have your RH and BS good to go now.  Chat with you later.  Have a great week.

Just a thought BUT is the Doc you want to see ever on call with a local hospital or ER? You might could get to him that way. Would a referral from your primary get you in any faster to see him?

Sorry you've not felt well.

No he is not.  He is a bariatric surgeon - now also a director... I ma planning to "run into him" at one of his meetings and ask him what I need to do to see him. He is the doc who did my RNY... but now he only see a very limited number of people.

I didn't realize that you had so much trouble with your surgery.  I am really sorry to hear that.  I hope you get some help from your surgeon.  I hope your insurance will cover it.  My insurance will only cover 1 bariatric surgery no matter what.  No revisions of any type.  It doesn't seem right, but somehow they are getting away with it.  Tri

I was self pay. My insurance did not even covered one surgery. Now I deal with complications - but that could have been caused by any abdominal surgery so my insurance covers that, so far. Most likely I am dealing with scar tissue, or low motility ...plus RH, and latest - some changes to my pancreas... who knows why... may be precancerous or benign. so we just monitoring... Beside that - I am cool.. lol

Revision is not an option for me, most likely that would not change anything at this point.  Thanks for kind words.

Hey Tess and Botts,

It's sunny and about 34 here, not too bad at all. Today started out good but at lunchtime I got busy and didn't make a salad had a tuna sandwich instead. Also had a bunch of bananas going soft so I made salted carmel banana bread for my brother-in-law. Normally I wouldn't be baking during the week. So my plan is to just go ahead with dinner like I had a perfect day. And start fresh tomorrow. Maybe give myself an extra low, low carb day.

My eats:

B:scrambled eggs w/cheese and slice of ham
S: scrambled eggs w/cheese
L: tuna sandwich
S: licking the spoon of the salted carmel glaze & SB Venti skinny late
D: 1/2 c chili & 1/2 chicken quesadilla
S: small slice of that banana bread and coffee w/ff cream

plus 4 cups coffee and ff creamer, vites and water

Hope your'e feeling better soon Hala.

Have a good day all

Edie
