Back On Track Together
Wednesday, February 13th, Cardio & Cafe
Good afternoon everyone
I am still fighting a cold. Good thing my hubby likes to shop costco. I think I have gone through at least 4 boxes of tissue in the last couple of days.
I meant to post after my doctor's appt on Monday but went right to bed instead. I have lost 14 pounds in the three weeks I have been on my new food plan. I guess all the water weight has been lost. According to him I burn about 1000 calories ( doing nothing ) more than I am consuming so I should loose 2 pounds a week. It could be more once I feel like exercising. Right now my exercise is getting from my bed to the bath tub then back to the bed. That's the advantage of being retired. When you are sick you do not have to suck it up and go to work.
My food plan for today
Breakfast protein bar
lunch soup
snack pudding
dinner chocolate protein drink
snack fruit and small amount of cheese
Hi BOTTs,
B - Coffee with SF creamer & GNC protein shake
L- Adkins RTD shake & 100 cal pack of almonds
S- String cheese
D-2-3 oz of ground turkey, 1/2 c. Prego sauce, 1oz whole wheat spaghetti (the first carbs I've had in over a week - but limiting it to a small amount), green beans
S- Crystal lite Pink Lemonade - 3 glasses during pool! No alcohol until I lose this extra weight!!!
Water on track, AM vitamins taken - no exercise tonight but have my Ladies Pool League - so I get some movement for 4 hours this evening. Only had 5 hours of sleep last night so I hope to sleep well tonight! I lost another lb - so I'm feeling good and that always gets me back into the groove to get these final pounds off. As long as I see it going away I'm good to go...it's the lack of movement on the scale that drives me crazy and I'll need all of your support to help me stay on track!! Happy Hump Day!!
Hi Tess,
thanks for the welcome message yesterday!
And regarding today's comment - I do weigh myself everyday, but that seems to keep me on track and honest - cause I know if I overeat or eat the wrong things, it will show up on the scale. The problem lies in the scale not moving for weeks or months at a time - that's when I lose my stride and think "what the heck". So, until that happens, it's full speed ahead and I should be good to go. We'll talk in a month or two....
Edie, so glad to hear you are feeling better!! Yeah!
The carb monster is evil and it must be destroyed!! haha! It definitely is a work in progress to get those carb cravings under control. Amazingly I've gotten it under control (finally) but it was a long time of working it out with myself - mentally. We are not perfect and it takes talking to ourselves and telling ourselves we are worth it and we finally deserve to get to our goal and we all know that eating carbs is NOT going to get us there. Damn fact of life but.... We. Will. Make. It!!
Talk to you soon!!
