Good Morning!!!! I think I've finally had the "AHA" moment and realized just how much vitamin deficiencies effect/affect moods. There is no way in the world that my little anti-depressant could ever have come close to lifting my spirits. I'm already feeling like the cloud of despair has lifted. A month ago I would have told you it was solely because I had gained weight.
I've never been much of a breakfast eater, especially first thing in the morning, but the last few days I want something ASAP. It has to be from taking the iron and oj before bed. That's the only thing that's changed at bedtime. But then again maybe this is how a healthy metabolism is supposed to function. hmmmm??
Wake Up : Protein Bar
Commute: Coffee with Splenda and french vanilla creamer
Breakfast: Scrambled egg with cheese and sausage crumbles
snack: Banana
Lunch: Salisbury Steak & mixed veggies
snack: Greek Yogurt & apple slices
Dinner: London Broil & huge green salad
Gettin plenty of water and decaf tea in. I'm almost on a regular schedule with the new vitamin regiment. Still relying on the alarms on my cell phone to remind me. (Hey it works!!) So thankful for the life I have.

Cold here, but the sun is out! Yesterday was a good day. All my vitamins and water in, calories and carbs not too bad. Was under 1200 cals. and 70 carbs. Probly need to go lower but it's a start.
Tried Trisha Yearwood's company pot roast yesterday. Her recipe uses a 5 lb roast and mine was under 2 so I made the mistake in thinking it needs less time. Needless to say ended up having hamburgers, homefries (just a lttle) and green beans instead. So dinner's ready for tonight!
My eats today are:
B: 1/2 ham and chees omelet w/2 T homefries and one bite of rye toast which I
counted as a 10 of a slice
S: protein powder and hot chocolate
L: salad with egg, blue cheese and almonds w/ lite italian
D: 4 oz. pot roast, w/ 1/4 c each carrots and green beans with 2T onion gravy
4 cups coffee w/ fat free half and half
Took 1/2 my vites, am working on the water and thinking about the exercise
Have a good day all!
That pot roast was good but on the sweet side to me. I'm thinking I like my recipe better. It's probably one you allready have but just in case here it is:
Beef roast bottom round, chuck or whatever you like
Then you just add can of musroom soup with a can each of water and milk and a packet of dry onion soup mix. Put it in a covered dish in a 350 degree oven or crockpot
and it makes a wonderful gravy. If you want more gravy, you can double the mushroom soup, water and milk, but not the onion soup mix cause it will make it too salty
mmmmm... That sounds really good too. Have you seen the packages that Walmart is putting out now for sale. It includes the roast, onions, pototoes and carrots. I was thinking about getting one of these to try over the weekend. I think it is around $12-13.00 each. It might be cheaper to buy everything separate. I am definitely in the mood for pot roast this weekend though. Thanks for the recipe.
We made a CrockPot Salisbury steak in the office today!!!! OMG it's wonderful.
Ingredients:
2 lbs lean ground beef
1 can Cream of Mushroom soup
1 can Cream of Celery soup
1 can French Onion Soup
1/2 package of Dry Lipton's Onion Soup mix
DIrections:
Pat the hamburger into the bottom of the crock pot so it looks like one big patty. Empty the soup cans into the crock pot (do not dilute). Sprinkle half the dry soup package on top. Put the lid on and cook. High for 4 hours or low for 8.
It's wonderful. Makes a lot of gravy so it's very moist and easy on us. I've tried it with Cube Steak and cheap cuts of beef....works wonderfully.
