Good morning BOTTs & Tess!
Well NYC didn't get as much snow its about 6 inches out side my apartment window.
It's been a tough week for me, it started out find than I got the job offer from my client and its 16,000 less than I am making as a temp or consultant. If I refused the offer the agency I am working with now would denie me unemployment. It sucks because I hear it happen to others because its the same job with the same company, etc etc. They will not allow three of us to speak with the union because it is a union represented position....so i've been stressing and over eatting.
I hope to pull it together this weekend and treat it for what it is a job not my career (plus it pays more than unemployment and I will have insurance) and plus once I am close to finishing my Master in August I will start a serious job hunt for management position outside the organization.
So, my eatting for the day has been so far:
2 large cold coffee drinks
Breakfast: Whole Wheat 110 cal Bagel with a wedge of Laughing Cow Cheese Spread, 1 Jumbo egg with 2 small pieces of Turkey Sausage
Snack was 1 cup of Hi Lo Vanilla Almond Cereal with Almond Milk
Lunch: Skinny Down Protein Smoothie (1 scoop of protein) and Miralax
Snack if need: Protein Bar - Balance
Dinner: Seared Fish and Veggies
Snack: Dannon Fit & Light Yogurt (Strawberry Banana
Workout plan: None - I am going to walk to the Market to pickup some fresh fruit and veggies (ok I guess the Tread Climber I did 10 minutes the other day my goal today will be 15 to 20 minutes).
Wanda:
A job is a job when so many do not have one. I have worked for the same company for five years and never received any pay raise but that's okay, it pays my house note and I will gladly accept that. You are right though, when you finish up your degree then you can find a career instead of a job to get by. Stress can really get us all down, me included. Just try to take it one day at a time. Thinking of you.
SE PA got very little snow, but there's a cold wind blasting us today.
I'm under the weather, so today so far I've had coffee and a protein bar. I'm thinking a small omelette for later, as I tolerate eggs quite well. Not exactly the way I wished to get back on track, then again, whatever works, right?
