Back On Track Together
Friday, February 1st, Cardio & Cafe
Happy Friday Botts:
Well group, I hit the gym at 5:30 AM this morning. I walked 2 miles on the treadmill and burn 240 calories. I am now sitting in my home enjoying my morning coffee. It is a nice 21 degrees outside and I feel great!!!!! I am so glad that I got back started exercising. My husband and I are committing to 28 days of exercise and will re-evaluate where we are at the end of the month. I know when I exercise I eat much better too. My eats this morning are:
Breakfast: Coffee & Miralax
2nd Breakfast: Protein Shake
Snack: Protein Bar
Lunch: Protein Bar
Snack: Vitatop
Snack: Apple
Dinner: BBQ Chicken wraps
Snack: Biscotti
Have a wonderful Friday, remember your vits and fluids and hop on the exercise train with me.
My outdoor thermometer reads -2 degrees this morning !!! This is why they call Lambeau Field the frozen tundra. My dog's leash was frozen closed and I had to warm it in my hand for a minute until it would open. I lost 2 pounds this morning and now have only 47 to my new (heavier, overweight) goal. (I love the first day bot). I have to get back to the gym tonight for a triathlon workout. I am going to the salon this evening too. I always feel better after a little waxing, dying, cutting and painting (I sound like a craft project) . I am cooking my veggie soup this morning and making a sf/ff cheesecake (it keeps me honest and tons of calcium). They are the 2 reasons I don't weigh more than I do. I threw in some of my fresh herbs because the plants were growing wild and the house smells of basil, rosemary and parsley now...wonderful! January was a tough month for my head. Accepting that I have to live with my failed surgery was difficult. So many would have, could have, should haves. I am sure there is a bright side to this...I am looking for it. All I can do is count calories and be happy to keep them under 1800 each day. I have to avoid sugar or my blood sugars go absolutely crazy. I don't mind veggies and fruit. I like to drink Crystal light. Accept my higher goal weight (BMI 29.9) as success. I tried to edit my meals yesterday and it wouldn't let me. I skipped the grapefruit last night and went to bed because I had enough without it. I hope you all have a great day Tri
the plan today:
B: left over chicken, metamucil (the orange sf drink) croisant 300
S: cucumber and tomato salad, 6 oz. plain Greek yogurt, grapefruit 200
L: veggie soup, 3 oz. turkey and 1 slice reduced fat Swiss cheese, croisant 300
S: banana, nut chewy protein bar 270
D: chicken breast, shrimp, pasta, veggie soup 350
S: pear, cheesecake 200
1620 calories
Hi Tri Harder:
Your food sounds great and I love that new attitude you are showing this morning. Every day is a new day and you are well on to a great day. Please keep that -2 degrees up with you, I am barely handling the 21 degrees that we have. And, I have been that craft project before too. Have an awesome day!
This is how I feel about FRIDAYs in general. So thankful that this week is behind me. Looking forward to a few days with my sweetie. We have his kids every other weekend so He'll pick them up afterwork this afternoon. They're 8 & 13. The house seems so empty when we have to drop them off on Sunday's --even the dog gets depressed. I love it best when we have his kids, my boys, their girlfriends and my granddogs all in residence. We have the best times together. We took them all camping last summer for a week at the beach. I think we'll get the camping book out this weekend and start picking a destination for this summer. Sorry for the ramble but as you can tell I've more on my mind than the Carb monster this morning----YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Commute: Nothing - had my fasting blood work done this morning.
Breakfast: Egg & Cheese on whole wheat toast followed by coffee w/ half and half and splenda 10a.m.
Lunch: Chef Salad w/ french dressing noon
snack: Fruit cup w/ handful of high protein granola 3p.m.
dinner: Fajitas (chicken & shrimp) 7 p.m
Blessed are the flexible for they shall not be bent out of shape.

I love camping but my husband is no boy scout. It it doesn't have a 4 star rating and in door plumbing, we ain't going....My boss is going out of town this evening and will be back tomorrow so I am going to dog sit for them tonight. He just called me and told me to take the afternoon off for being so kind to their dog. I love my job some days!!!!!! Have a great rest of the day.
Good afternoon Tess and Botts:
I'm really late in posting today.
I weighed in at 174.0 (EVEN. It was about 56 degrees yesterday, and today it's 30 with a wind chill factor. So it's C-O-L-D ! ! This weather
is so crazy. One day everyone's running around in shorts and wearing sandals, then the next day they're all bundled up from head to toe. LOL!! I have my own little temperature thingy going anyway..MENOPAUSE - HOT FLASHES, AND COLD FLASHES ! ! Sometimes it's so
unbearable I want to jump out of my skin. I think it makes me very tired also, because of the constant back and forth, the extreme sweating
and then the coldness ! !
Anywho, my eats for today are:
The COFFEE MONSTER came and went: I had about 3 cups today, with 1 packet of Raw sugar, and 1/4 cup of 2% milk per cup.
BREAKFAST: 1/2 cup of oatmeal, with 1 packet of Raw sugar, and 1/2 cup of milk , small bite of my peanut butter granola bar.
LUNCH: Cheese, Healthy Choice Honey Ham about 5 slices of cheddar cheese, pre-sliced cracker cuts) and about 2 slices of the ham)
5 baby raw carrots
DINNER: REALLY DON'T KNOW YET>>> going to pick my son up from college in Boston and bring him home for the weekend !
STAY WARM EVERYONE AND HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!!
