Brrrrr is right. I actually saw some flurries this morning on my way into work. Got the daily dose of vitamins in. Working on the fluids.

I had hoped to get to the Y today but I forgot my follow up appt about my knee this afternoon.  I really think it's getting better because I seem to be walking better but I still don't trust it coming down the stairs or walking around the neighborhood (does that make sense?)

Lunch:               Pork Chow mein with Brown rice

Snack:               Cheese stick & Almonds

Good morning Tess and Botts:

Very, very dangerously cold here in CT! It was only 8 degrees on my way to work, and 2 degrees at 5am.

Feeling a little down today, don't really know why. I'm sure if I took the time to really think about it, I'd figure it out, but right now I don't want to.

Got on the scale this morning, and it read 174.6, yesterday it was 174.2.

Some things I attribute to the very minor increase:  1 - I didnt get all my vitamins in, 2. didn't get all my water in (only drank 2 bottles, not 6), 3. didn't get all my protein in, 4. I didn't eat chili and cheese for dinner or have my milk for a snack.  I had a salad with shredded cheddar, and red raw peppers, and I think the salad dressing had a lot of sodium in it.  So not drinking all my water, worked against me.

Aiming to do better today. A little tired, and don't want to go to choir rehearsal tonight.  We'll see. Also, noticed that the peanut butter has 150 mg of sodium per serving (Wow)!

Eats for today:

Coffee, coffee, coffee made with 1 raw sugar packet per cup, 1/4 cup of 2% milk

Breakfast:  1/2 cup of cooked oats with 1 Splenda pkt, and 1/3 cup of 2% milk & 1 1/2 Tbsp of peanut butter

Lunch: pre-sliced cheddar cheese cracker cuts about 6 or 7, maybe an orange

WATER, WATER, WATER, WATER, WATER, WATER (16.9 fl. oz) with flavor packet

Vitamins

Dinner: Maybe the chili from last night, but I'll wait until after choir rehearsal. LOL!

Have a great, warm and toasty day everyone!

I knew the peanut butter had a lot of sodium too but I did not want to send you into shock when we were talking about ham and bacon.  Water is definitely one of our vital keys for flushing all the sodium out of our system.  Hope your day go better tomorrow.  I can't imagine 2 degrees.  Brrrrr!!!

Hi Tess and Botts,

Wiped out in the driveway trying to dig my car out and lost my (only) set of keys. Found them and told my nephew (sister's stepson) who is 20 and was sitting on his arse in the house and his response was to tell a story about a friend of his who was short and weighed 300 pound and fell and how funny it was him trying to get back up. I said I don't weigh that much (anymore) and even if I did it's because of my arthritis that I was having trouble! Anyhow I did make it out of the house today, which I badly needed to, you can tell by my ranting, and the kid goes back to school next week!

My eats today are:

B: scrambled eggs with cheese and salsa
L: salad with gyro meat and stuffed pepper soup
D: not sure yet, not cooking I do know that much

Have a good day all!

Hi Edie:

Please be careful out in the weather.  I think after all the weight loss that our bones are not as strong as they use to be and made easily take a break quicker now.  Have a better evening.  Chat with you later.

Hi Botts! I have been here lurking and not posting as Iv'e been tracking my food and trying to see what I'm doing wrong. Well after a few days of honestly tracking I have found that I am WAY over on calories.  I'm at about 1,600-1,800 calories a day and no I'm not eating BIG meals I'm just eating/ GRAZING way too often! And No I'm not doing any vigorous exercise to burn those calories.... So today I did alot better, not perfect but I did make sure it was a meal or snack time before I put anything in my mouth besides water of coffee.

B: EAS shake

S: nonfat latte/1 choc truffle

L: 2 boiled eggs w/3 cheese crackers

S: 1/4 of an atkins pb protein bar

D: 1 chicken leg w/1/4 cup of mixed veggies

S: if needed sf jello cup.
