Back On Track Together
Thursday, January 17th, Cardio & Cafe
It's cold and gloomy in PA today and supposed to dip down to the teens by tonight. A good day to stay in and make chicken soup. Me bones are achin today so probly going to skip Snap today, was going to try and go all weekdays but think 3 days a week is all my knees can handle right now. As I get weight off I plan to increase the excercise. My eats today are:
B-egg in a basket and 1/2 light and fit greek yogurt
S-none
L-homemade chef salad w/oz. each of: cheese, ham and turkey with light italian
S-pudding protein shake
D-homemade chicken noodle soup
S-3 crackers w/ ham and cheese
Have a good day everybody :D
I haven't thought about eggs in a basket in years. My Father in law always made them fro my boys. The first cooking assignment that my oldest son had in a culinary careers class was eggs in a basket. He started watching the teacher and then he stopped her and showed her a "better" way to do it. (cutting the hole with a juice glass so it was uniform). Thankfully she was impressed and did it his way.
What's in your pudding protein shake?

PROTEIN PUDDING SHAKE
Makes 4-16 oz. shakes
64 oz. water
4 scoops protein powder
1 box sugar free instant pudding mix-4 serving size (has to be instant)
You just shake it all up in a big container (I use empyt PP container)and let it set for at least 4 hours, overnight is best. Shake it up again before using. The mixture will be lumpy at first, but after it sits and you shake it up again it gets nice and smooth. Liz says her favorite is vanilla PP and chocolate pudding mix. I use Chocolate Pure Protein Powder cause that's what I have with chocolate pudding and I really like it
B: Hard boiled egg, 1 oz beef jerky, EAS choc shake
L: tuna w/ 1T mayo, 1/2 cup cottage cheese
(S: (Maybe if I need it) SF jello and pudding)
D: Grilled tilapia, EAS shake
763Cal, 109 protein, 15 net carbs.
Is it healthy to go that low on the carbs? If I eat the pudding, I'll get 6 more. I know the brain needs carbs to function. Somehow I'm functioning and not having low BS.
You do need some carbs and fat. I may have gotten that low a couple of times but mostly when I am low carbing, mine stay around 40-50 net carbs a day. You are doing excellent on your proteins and carbs, I would probably add a different protein with a little more carbs in it to be a more healthy balance in your numbers. Keep up the awesome work. You will reach your goal doing this. It may take you about 4-5 months but you will get there.
I just checked my numbers for today and they are: Cals. 820, Protein 73, net carbs 41. This puts me in my target range of 800 calories, 70-80 grams of proteins and 40-50 net carbs.
Ok, another crazy busy day, I guess it makes up for me leaving early yesterday. Eatting still a little off up 1 pound since Sunday, but I will start working out Saturday. Going back to my daily morning Wii Tennis (30 minutes)
