Good Monday Morning Botts:

Looks like we may be getting some icy rain today.  I so much prefer snow over the ice mixture.  I am changing up my diet some today to shake it up.  Sometimes I get in a rut.  My eats for today are:

Breakfast:  Diet Hot Chocolate, Peanut Butter on Toast

Snack:  1/2 Grapefruit

Lunch:  1/2 Tuna Sandwich

Snack:  Apple

Dinner:  Grill Chicken, Green Beans

Snack:  S.F. ice cream

I am out of protein bars so I will be eating differently for a few days.  I will let you know how I do.

Have a great day and stay warm.

Hi Tess and Botts,

It's cold again, down to 33 from 63 yesterday. It was nice while it lasted but i guess it's a bit early for spring. I lied to you all, intended to do shakes but when morning came was hungry and made an egg in the basket. I do plan to use a couple shakes for my snacks, more protein and less calories than other snacks.
Want to keep to only 3 meals and 2 shakes. That's the new plan! Here's my eats:

B-egg in the basket
Snack-shake
L- leftover cabbage roll, half an apple
Snack-shake
D-cup of homemade cabbage soup, 1/2 cheese sandwich
Snack-shake if needed

Hope you all have a great day!

We never lie, we just decide to go in a different direction than what we planned originally.  Good luck today!

Good morning BOTTS:

Last week I went to my surgeon's appointment. I weighed in at 181.4.  I was and am determined to get to my goal weight of 135-140.  I increased my water, my vitamins, and cut out needless carbs and that includes my cheese peanut butter crackers! I'm really finding that I love them more for the crunch factor.  Oh, that crunch factor! Found in so many yummy carbs.

My eats for today are:

Pre breakfast: 3 cups of coffee (cut back on sugar, only 1 pkt of raw sugar per cup, not 2) splash of 2% milk in each (protein)

Breakfast: 1 pkt of Cream of Wheat, 1/3 cup of milk, 1 pkt. Splenda

I TBSP of Peanut Butter

Water

Snack: Peanut Butter - 2 TBSP

Water

Lunch: Cheddar Cheese slices about 5 or 6, and probably 1/2 cup of bean soup

Snack: 1 Orange

Water

Dinner: 1/4 slice of meatloaf, cabbage, peas, beans

Water

Snack: Popcorn (always)!

Need to up the PROTEIN, any ideas anyone?

Have a blessed day everyone! :)

You can definitely lose those 40 lbs. if you put your mind to it.  You know, I am a big user of protein bars to help add extra protein in my day.  A lot of folks use greek yogurt, beef jerky, nuts and protein shakes to help up their protein count.  Good luck to you.

Good morning Tess and BOTTers.

My weekly update: I am still in pain if I eat... and I am getting really tired of that.  My weight is rather stable and since it can fluctuate by 2-4 lbs in a few days, I am no counting weight loss unless it drops below 162.  On a good note in the last 2 weeks I added some yoga, so I know I will be working on my muscles.  I plan to do yoga at least 2 times a week.  Hopefully 3 times a week. Will see.

I am planning to go back on full liquids and see if that will help.

Hala:

You are worrying me not being able to eat without hurting.  That just does not sound good.  If you do all liquids does it still hurt or just when you introduce the solid foods?  Yoga sounds good on the exercise front.  They opened a new class this week on yoga but I am just not that flexible.  I have tried but I feel like Molly on the Mike and Molly show...Please let us know how the pain management is going.  Take care.

Thanks Tess. The pain - I can't figure out what and why is causing it. As long as I do liquids I am fine - but most solid foods may - is causing pain - unless I eat very little or drink with it. Wine really helps - but that is not something I can do all the time. Not sure if that is food allergies or density or not chewing enough. Last time I had as Ctscan the doc told me it is constipation and gas causing pain. Since then I added more magnesium, ducolax and miralax. I maker sure I drink at least 60-80 oz of water.... On top of coffee as and tea. Yesterday I ate some cheese with protein added for breakfast because I was hungry.... I end up in so much pain that I had to go homer at 1pm because taking pain pil when I am at work is not an option... Eventually I induced dumping...and was able to clean my guts. That helped with the pain. I am also worry because I dont see a pattern of the pain. In a worse case - I will end up in lap surgery... And I try to avoid that.

Good Afternoon! I can't believe I didn't get on-line all weekend. There is always so much to do and a limited amount of time to do it in. Temp wise our weather was wonderful this weekend so we got some Garage clean up done. Cleaned out the cars and got the oil changed in mine. I was down just over a half pound this week so that gives me 3.5 lbs lost for the past 2 weeks. Being back on track is paying off.

Commute:      Coffee with Splenda & ff French Vanilla Creamer

Breakfast:       Creamsicle Protein shake  (Vanilla protein, FF Lactaid & Trop 50 OJ)

snack:             Fiber One bar   (really need to up the fiber & water when I get rid of extra grease in my diet)

Lunch:            Turkey & Cheese with Mustard on a flat out wrap

snack:              Greek Yogurt with Splenda brown sugar & cinnamon

Dinner:             ???????? plus a salad

Just realized that I forgot to take something out to thaw for dinner. Need to stop at the store for weekly lunch supplies & fresh fruits so I may cheat and pick up a rotisserie chicken. I've been wanting some chicken salad so the leftovers would be perfect for that....hmmmm....maybe I forgot on purpose.

Blessed are the flexible for they shall not be bent out of shape.
