Have a great day, remember your vits and get some exercise in today if possible. I plan to walk.
Good morning!!! Other than an achy knee this morning...I feel wonderful. I feel like I'm regaining control of my life. It amazes me that once I start "organizing" one aspect of my life that other areas soon follow (ie...my house is cleaner than normal, reorganized my winter clothes and the coat closet, etc). Vitamins are already taken for the day.
Commute: Coffee with splenda & ff french vanilla creamer
Breakfast: Banana Smoothie (pure whey vanilla protein & lactose free milk)
Lunch: Tuna salad on a flat out wrap w/ side salad
snack: Greek Yogurt & almonds
Dinner: Baked chicken & steamed vegetables
snack: Jello Pudding cup (sugar free)

I was wondering how you manage to take all vitamins in the morning? it take me all day divided dosages to get all what I need to take.
2 Multi (morning and afternoon)
3-4 servings of calcium 500 mg each, D3, Vit K, A,
Magnesium, copper, and iron - separate from calcium... and from each other
I wonder if you are taking enough - or maybe if you take them all at once?

I take them all at once in the mornings. A multi, a D3, a B-12 and a fish oil. The only thing that was ever low on my labwork for me was my D. Once I added the D3 I've had no problems.

Got it. You don't take extra calcium or iron.

It's sunny here today and supposed to reach the 40's whoo hoo
heat wave! Stuck pretty well to my plan yesterday except for the
bowl of cereal I ate last night. Oh well, I am getting better, my
plan for today is:
B-2 eggs, slice of velveeta, 1/2 mini bagel w T cream cheese
Snack-2 oz roast chicken lunch meat, 2 T leftover scalloped potatoes-I stopped myself, 1 buckeye-they were a quarter at the grocery store
L-tuna salad on slice of toast, 1 oz of cheddar, and small salad with light italian
D-going out, planning on getting a salad like a cobb or chef or grilled chicken
Coffees w ffh&h and water
Also I did 23 minutes on the bike!!!
Have a good day all
Greetings all,
I am new to the group. I am 20 months out and I found myself getting off track. I knew I had to turn this around quickly less I find myself in TROUBLE. So of course, I came to the OH site and searched for a group for getting back on track or back to basics. So glad I found this group.
Since then I've upped my water intake, my protein intake, and watch very carefully what I'm eating in between, etc.
Coffee, I've limited my sugar to 1 pkt of raw sugar a cup, or sometimes even using a pkt of splenda. I always use 2% milk for the added protein.
Anyway, I need to start increasing my activity, and I did by walking, and guess what? I can already see a difference just by doing all those changes! Whew! I'm grateful! I don't want to go back there again! Also, I'm trying to be an example for my 20 year old son, who is obese and hypertensive and diabetic. (My heart just cries out for him to have either the lap band or RNY!!) I am so pained and saddened that he's afraid to have this surgery. I know, I just know he'd be so much happier and of course, healthier!
Thank you for listening and I look forward to feedback and all that comes along with joining a support group.
Best,
Scherrie
