Hi! I am eight years out, I have kept all the weight off that I have lost, but I still have 100 pounds left to go.  What do you mean by back to the basics?  Do you mean going back to the liquid protein shakes for the main source of nutrition with water and exercise, like we did right after surgery?  Even though I am this far out with this work for me?

Thanks everyone...just clarifying what back on track really means.

Back to the basic usually mean  high protein, low carbs, strict diet - with measuring everything and writing it down.

The small snacks here and there, "just one Sunday" dinner..only a few nuts... one piece of...(add what it is your weak point) and the calories adds up.

Exercise, lot s of water (plain or flavored with no-calories flavring) and so on. Dense protein first. Maximize on proteins. then some complex carbs.

Add exercise  - and hope that this will work.

i.e. I can lose weight if I limit my calories to 1000-1200, with 120-150 proteins and no more than 30 gr of  net carbs. (I do not count the non-soluble fiber)
