Weekly update

It is Monday and I like the idea of a weekly update.  I have realized I need to do something.  I met with a bariatric psychologist and she listened to my history.  I met with a bariatric registered dietitian and she gave me a new diet.  This week I will meet with a bariatric therapist to see if she can help me behaviorally.  Later this week I am meeting with a very experienced surgeon to see if he can fix my anatomy.  In an ideal world I would love to be able to just diet and exercise.  Realistically I haven't been able to do that from the beginning.  My dietitian has given me an 1800 calorie diet.  3 meals of 400 calories and 6 snacks of 100 calories.  Veggies and fruits in the morning and protein only for the evening snacks.  I am able to follow it pretty well. I am not getting on the scale so I don't know if I will be able to lose weight.  She wants me to learn to eat consistently rather than 1000 calories one day and 3000 calories the next day.  At this point I am surrendering to her expertise and giving it my best effort.  Although a revision may be in my future, I am not jumping into a revision without very careful consideration.  I am going to see the new surgeon this week because he has been doing bariatrics his whole career and I need to go to someone that I can trust in his experience and skill.  How are all of you doing?  'til next week....Tri

Hugs and good luck. Consistent diet never really worked for me.

Bet results got from low carb diet and calorie cycling. The calorie cycling was either one day less - another day more (but never than 2000 cal per day) or heavy exercises on some days with the same calorie intake for all days.)

Please keep us posted how the new diet work for you long term.
