Back On Track Together
My Weekly Update - Wanda
Morning BOTTS!
I hope to find everyone well! I see the board has changed, and I am missing Tess out there but we all understand. Sometime you need to step back and just work on yourself for a while.
So, I agreed to join Tess in a 90 day challege to get my remaining pounds off. Boy have I failed these past few weeks I am puting on more weight. So, I am making myself accountable for my own miss steps and I had to face the facts, yes I have been depressed lately and I have to shake this off. My left leg has been brothering me more so on a daily bases where just climbing the streets out of the subway has been a challege. So, each week I'v tried take back control and slide again.
This morning I weighted in at 214 pounds a far cry from my comfortable 170. So, heres my plan and the things I put into motion last week.
I purchase another work out item which will arrive tomorrow afternoon (Monday) to get my butt moving. I current have the Total Gym, Work out DVD etc. But what I find is I am not working out with them because any workout that has me doing a deep knee bend, squat of any kind, on being on my knees, kicking out etc is painful. So is some yoga positions, quick Zumba dance moves. I don't walk the park because its really not that safe since the sun is setting earlier these days plus people don't clean up after their dog and the last thing I want is tracking that mess into my apartment or force to walk with my head down the entire time. I hate going to the gym because I have to drag my cloths with me to work and back and the gym is packed in the evening and you can't work out on any of the machine because the men tend to take over the lower level and all the treadmills, bikes and etc you have to wait until one someone frees it up and theres a line...and if I go home after work chances are I will not head back out once I am in. When Iam in I am in!
So, I brought the Bowflex TreadClimber TC5 and it arrives tomorrow. Since, I live on the first floor and there no one under me and its a manual machine I won't bother any one and I won't throw a fuse each time I use it because I live and a prewar building (older building in NYC). I have to admit when I had my RYN 12 years ago I purchased a treadmil and its now at my mom home in Wisconsin and when I visit I roll out bed in my PJ and bang out 45 minutes to an hours. I missed having it. So, no more excuses from me come Tuesday for not working out. I have the mindset to work out at home once or twice a day and since the Treadclimber is low inpac and my doctor agrees this will do wonders for me.
I purchased some new items from mybariatricpantry.com they have these great low calories Biscotti now so I order one of each, some pancake mixes, as well as the soups mixes for lunch. I have set down this morning and redesign my 1300 calories meal plan to get in up to 120 proteins because my energy level has been in the tolet for the past few weeks and I am grasing all day and that needs to stop.
So, my general eatting plan for this week is:
PreBreakfast before heading out the door in the morning: 1/2 cup of Hi Lo Cereal (Maple & Pecan or Vanilla Almond) with 1/4 cup of Almond Milk. I found that have the cereal before leaving for work and my smoothie around 9/9:30am I am not grasing and have no need to go to the vending machine)
Breakfast at 9/9:30am: Fruit Smoothie using diet V8 Splash and 1/3 of a precut frozen Banana and 1/2 of additional frozen Fruit and 2 scoop of Vanilla Body Fortess Protien Powder
Snack if I need one: 6 Biscottis with Coffee
Lunch: Soup (protein) and 1/2 sandwich using Hillshire sliced meat and a wedge of Laughing Cow Cheese as my spread. Or, 1/2 Sandwich and a Salad. Or, Soup and a Salad with Protien added (Chicken or Shrimp)
Afternoon Snack around 4pm if I need it: Balance Protein Bar
Dinner: Some form of Protein with a cup of Veggies
After Dinner Snack (if I am in need): Protein Pancake Mix made thin into Crepes filled with Fruit
So, when I fall I just pick myself up and start over (do overs are ok). I will try to post every Sunday with an up dates and I hope you all will do to.
Have a great week!
