XP- found a way to use spell check and smileys...
I have Window 7 operation system and explorer 2011, version 9.0 but hat may work in others... check that.
Open Explorer. Find tab: Tools, open it and find "compatibility View Setting: check that - and I checked the " Display All Websites in compatibility view" With this on - I can run spell check, and my smileys are back..
I will still post with some mistake and typos - but at least now - I can check some of them...
