Hi Group...

I just recently started getting back on track and I find this so difficult. I started out at around 189-195 not sure...(I don't have a scale), but 6 weeks ago I stated slamming into routein. You all know the drill.

Water (2 liters a day)

Walking 3 miles a day

Protein shakes 3 times a day

No fat intake

No Carbs

Hi protein meats and low veggie intake.

I think I am doing everything I can. I went to Walmart yesterday and stepped on a scale and it read 166. Holy Crap.

I am doing it, but am losing steam. I need to know that there are those who need support like I do...

Can someone keep me motivated?  I want to get down to 130-135. I am not far and I don't want to give up now...

Please help me.

Hi Rae:

Congratulations on your success!  Just keep doing what you are doing and you will succeed to your goal.  Sometimes we get excited where we are and forget about the goal we wanted and start to slow down.  As long as you keep your eyes on the prize, you can do it.  Come here and give us an update daily or weekly on how you are doing.  We would love to hear from you.  Congratulations again.

hi Tess...

I am so glad you came to me and responded. I cannot tell you how many sites I have been to where I seek helo, encouragement, advice and support and get zero responses.

Thank you for your kindness.

Today, I am on all clear liquids. I have had severe bowel trouble since starting this and have been impacted now three or four times. It is so bad, that to save myself embarassment, I had to manually take care of the problem myself. Whew...what a relief that that is over for today anyway.

I have been out of this so long, I do not even remember what type of protein is best. I am on Casein protein, but I think that is causing my problems.

I am going to go back to Whey protein (with much disgust because I hate the taste), but I think the casein is too much and digests too slowly. I will give that a try once I am off the clear liquid.

As long as I see the inches fall off, any pain I go through is worth it. Like I said, I don't have a scale, but I do measure and so far I have lost 13 over all body inches in less than 6 weeks.

I am getting my life back and want back to my goal I was right after surgery.

My fiance tells me I need to be patient, but I tell him I want it off yesterday.

Thank you again for your help and support.

 Hi Rae:

I had the issue with the bathroom when I first started relosing my gain.  That is why I drink Miralax in my morning coffee each morning.  I also take two Magnesium Oxide pills a day.  It took care of the bathroom problem so that I go everyday now easy that rough or painful.  I do use the whey protein from Unjury.  I get the chocolate and mix with water.  Its taste reminds me of the Yoohoo drinks in the bottle.  I sometimes mix it with 1/2 banana, 1 tbl. PB2, SF chocolate syrup and lots of ice in my Ninza.  I love that shake.  Let me know if I can help you any more.

Hi Tess

Just having someone to communicate with is a huge help.

I have been out so long and I am pretty much a recluse at my house. I had to do something and decided to do this.

Thank you so very much for your care.

I will log in daily and make contact.

Smiles

Rae

Thanks for the shake idea. I can't afford unjury, but I will start the whey and try to mix it up with other things.  YuckkkkkkkkY....I do remember that much,,,,hehe

Welcome to the group. I only post here once a week.  But if you have any specific question - please don't  hesitate to ask - send PM.

BTW: I use magnesium - daily. But if that doe snot help -and I don't have a BM for more than 24 hrs - I do water - high enema (google that). I hate to do that but that is better than pain and severe constipation.

I use magnesium oxide - I take 800-1200 mg capsule form (not pills) of magnesium oxide every night just before bed.
Some people have problem with magnesium  but that works for me great. That and higher fat content, and fiber.
But fiber is tricky - if you get too much - you get constipated, not enough - constipation.
Fat is the same thing.

I typically try to have things moving and when the move easily (easy BM ) I slowly increase fiber.  Drinking enough water- during the day - is also important. Not enough water -= constipation.  Once every 2 weeks or so I may take a extra dosage of magnesium to clean me out.  The high protein diet maybe really constipating.

Good luck.

Hi Gang...

Just checking in and letting everyone know that until I can get to the store to try some of these great tips, I have cut out all calcium, protein shakes and vitamins.

I have decided to slam watermelon. I eat it 2 times a day mid day, and evening. The last time I had to "go", it was as painful as delivering a baby and it was about that size too lol.

The watermelon is clearing me out. I am eating my protein in many different forms and recenly made a fantastic low fat, zero carb soup using veggies, tomato soup and chicken hearts/gizzards. Holy cow was that ever good although I am not a fan of chicken gizzards and hearts, but cooking it all at the same time took the taste away. Yummmmmmmmmmmmo

I am eating that along with other foods and it is doing the trick.

Thank you so much for the encouragement.

Also, for a late night snack, I eat the new Kellog's Protein cereal it has 10 grams of protein and 3 grams of fiber per serving And only 120 calories. I eat 2 servings dry just before bed and that also is helping me.

That cereal is good stuff. I eat it like potato chips. WoW I say way to go Kellogs

Thanks again
