HELP! I've lost my groove and can't get it back.

I'm so off track and annoyed with myself. I have not been eating too good and lost all motivation to exercise... At the beginning of the summer I was very motivated. I have been dealing with some anxiety issues lately and am not sure if that's what's detaining me. Either way I need some motivation. My blood sugar has been dropping and I'm all puffy. I hate the way I feel. Any motivation would be helpful.....

You can get back in the groove.  Look and see what motivated you at the beginning of the summer and try to get back on track.  Just take it one day at a time.  If it doesn't work today, try tomorrow.  And, do what Hala said about drinking a protein shake.  Sometimes that can be the match that lights the fire.  Good Luck and and a great day.

If your blood sugar is dropping how low is it going?
Are you planning balanced meals and putting yourself as a proirity. PUffyness indicated water gain. Have you checked with your doctor to see what he thinks about it or are you eating a lot of salty foods.
Don't beat yourself up for feeling out of sorts and not motivated. That will make you less motivated.
Take it one hour at a time baby steps. Take time with your eating. Eat only when you have time to sit down and really taste to food.  Keep health snacks like carrots and peanut butter on hand for when a snack attack hits.
Work on coping skills besides comfort foods with someone or even do some on line reseach on the subject.
If anxiety builds up find a way to use the anxious energy to work on a project, read a book, watch a movie, take a long walk.
Beyond that realize things happen and we will get off track but we can get right back on.

Trible, I'm not sure how low it goes number wise but I can feel it. I do plan healthy meals and snacks but don't always follow my plan. I don't really eat alot of salty foods, my DR. didn't seem too concerned about the water retention, maybe I'll go see another one. As I said above I am going to a counselor to help with some coping skills. Thank you for your reply and help. How far out are you? could you give me an example of what you eat too?

I am glad you are following up with a dr and  a counselor to deal with this. I had surgery july 2008 so 4 years now.
Morning
Cereal with milk
glass of milk with pills
Banana

lunch
Tuna salad or peanut butter and jelly sandwich
or cottage cheese with pop chips.

Dinner
Varies a lot. Usually I make a chicken and bean and lental soup that last about three days.
I like chicken pot pies but leave most the crust.  or just turkey rolled around cheese.

I have protien bars that are 30 protiens I eat one or two a day.

glass of milk with pills for the night.

When I get stressed out I eat potato chips and cookies like they are going out of style. I take only a few at a time to try to control the urge but usually end up eating way too much.

Hala, I am going to do that and jut have shakes every few hours. What kind of shakes do you drink? I get the EAS low carb shakes but I wonder how good they really are for me. What kinds of fats should I add?

Tess, thank you, you are always an inspiration. I think I get over whelmed with the whole process of planning healthy eating and exercise along with everyday obligations and then I just quit trying for a while.I am going to a counselor now and I have an appointment with a dietician next week. I know if
I keep fighting I will find my way back. I am confused about calories this far out.
