Question about Miralax

Hi Tess and Botts,

I have a question about the Miralax. How much
do you use and do you mix it in your coffee?
Let's just say I've had a bad experience with
the low carb diet.
Right now I have the flu, but I'd like to try
low carb again after I'm feeling better. This
time I want to try the Miralax or something
like that, not going through that again! I know

Edie,

I currently mix mine, 1 cap full every morning, in my 1st bottle of water for the day, melts to nothing & has no flavor...I have mixed with my coffee also in the past, any liquid is fine...

I don't use miralax.
I use magnesium.
I take app 800-1200 mg of mag oxide every night.   Not only I sleep well but the mag helps to bring water into the colon. And mag is something that our bodies need and unless we supplement - we are most likely deficient. BTW: calcium can not be properly incorporated in our bones if there is not enough magnesium.
I typically take 800 (2 x 400 mg capsules - for easy absorption - pills are not my things) and if a day my BM was more difficult of not "fully". the same night I increase to 1200 for a night or couple of nights.

IF I forget take mag - one night once in a while - it is not a big deal... but that thing needs to be taken - like miralax - every day fro it to work.
If i get constipated (not drinking enough, too much fiber, not enough fiber..etc) then I may use warm water enema...(gentle) - before things get too hard... Just to introduce some water into the colon.. I do that if I cant go in am... then evening - unless I have good BM - I do the enema..
