 Happy, Happy Hump Day Botters:


I had a long night last night preparing for my trip to New York.  I actually turned off the alarm this morning and slept in instead of walking. :(  I am getting excited about the trip.  Any advice from New York natives is very much appreciated, such as:  What do I need to see, where is the best place to eat (not the most expensive) and where should I tread lightly.  My eats for today are:

Prebreakfast:  Coffee & Miralax
Breakfast:  Oatmeal
Snack:  Quest Brownie Bar
Lunch:  Steak Taco
Snack:  Quest Brownie Bar
Snack:  Vitatop
Dinner:  ?
Snack:  NSA Ice Cream Bar

Not sure yet about dinner as my daughter and son-n-law are coming down.  I will not be back on the board to start our threads again until next Wednesday.  Take care and remember those vits and drink plenty of fluids.  Let's make it a great day folks.

Tess, Im sure you'll get plenty of walking in on your trip. Sometimes you just need to sleep. Have a great time!! 

Day two low carb down. Im doing quite well. The craving monster still hasnt gotten me. For that Im grateful. Unfortunately Ive been very cranky and just blue. Im assuming its just a coincidence as I know I get to feeling like this at times...which also really baffles me as to why Im not craving sweets. Oh well...dont question it!!

Eats for today:

XL Coffee w/ cream
scrambled egg w/ cheese and bacon (Had to spit out the bacon....waaay too salty today)
Yay for taco bar today. The pulled pork is great
Shake before the gym
1/2 Stuffed pepper

Bootcamp tonight.

Thanks, I hope so. Hubs isnt doing as well. Hes feeling very lethargic. I told him to add in more, like nuts, seeds, beans, and low GI fruit like apples, strawberries, cherries and plums.

He can have more than I can. Damn men, they get it so easily. ****** me off.

Have fun in New York Tess... take many pictures...

The iron infusions and the meds they gave me .... well... not doing as good as I hope I would...
The steroids gave me extra energy...and I had to bake some more stuff last night. Then I had to try it... and with the massive amount of pepcid they gave me... and iron itself - indigestion followed. I woke up today with blinding headache. And Tylenol does not do anything for it. I know better than to try Advil. 
That one will last...
I do need to eat lightly today... not sure what... but as long as the headache is here... and burping - only coffee and tea ...

I made a protein shake, but not sure I want to risk it.. will report later.

Tess, have a great trip, I'm excited for you, wish I was going too, been on mine & hubbies to-do list to be tourists in NYC for years, something always comes up to replace it

Breakfast  :  protein coffee & praeventia digestive biscuits
Snack  :  fru fru coffee
Lunch  : backed chicken thigh & corn with stewed tomatoes
Dinner  :  pb & banana protein shake
Cardio  :  ZUMBA

Will probably have some kind of snack but not sure what or when I will want it...
