Carbs before 1 PM?

 I just read an interesting article, actually three, about eating your carbs with proteins before 1 PM and eating mostly proteins and good fats the rest of the day will help you to lose more weight.  Has anyone else read up on this?  I have gotten hooked on Pinterest, especially, health and diet boards, looking to see what everybody else is doing and this kinda made sense to me.  I thought I would share and see whatever body else thinks.

Also, saw two quotes today that I haven't seen in awhile, and I always thought they were good.

Tess, that idea - carbs early - may work for some people - but not for me.

I think (I have not tested it )  that my body may make too much insulin when I eat carbs - high insulin level - no weight loss... and I get more hungry.
If I wait with carbs to later duringthe day (unless I exercise in am)  then I can keep my BS more stable - and do not get very hungry. But getting the carbs and sugar later in the dya - allow me to limi how much more I can eat.


I eat carbs - I get hungry and I eat more

That's how I am too. I noticed over the last
9 days going low carb, I'm not always looking
for something to eat. As far as weight loss,
time will tell. If I can't lose weight going
low carb, I'm thinking there's something else
going on.

 I agree with you.  What ever time I eat carbs it does make me crave more of them for the rest of the day.  When I am just eating heavy protein, I do not crave much at all but when I introduce carbs into the mix then I am constantly looking for something else to eat.  I think I will try to save mine for the evening too.

I'll have to check out Pinterest.; I've heard a lot of great things about it.  When looking for nutrition info on hot and sour soup yesterday, I found a website called FatSecret that seemed interesting and I'll explore more later

I seem to stick to my eating plan better if I save my carbs.  My carbs right now are veggies eaten with lunch and dinner then more carbs in the form of a protein bar for my evening snack.  It's something I look forward to at the end of the day.
