Good Morning Botts:

The swelling is still continuing no matter what I eat so I guess I will just live with it.  My eats and cardio for today are:

Prebreakfast:  Coffee & Miralax
Breakfast:  Oatmeal
Snack:  Protein Shake
Lunch:  Quest Protein Bar
Snack:  Pure Protein Bar
Dinner:  Small Hamburger
Snack:  Vitatop

Exercise:  Walk around neighborhood

5+ years out, and here's my plan for today.  I'm doing a no grain day.

1 - 2 eggs with ham/cheese
2 - watermelon/strawberries
3 - salad with grilled chicken
4 - watermelon/strawberries
5 - banana or apple with peanut butter
6 - burger with salad

Zumba tonight!

Good morning Tess and Botts! Tess, you look wonderful!

Still struggling...and sounding like a broken record. Weekend wasnt too terribly bad, but I got into the cookies and made monkey bread (ah, it was good though). Damn mint Oreos. I should know better than to buy them. I really should have been trying to make these oatmeal/protein muffins Ive been wanting to play with.

Anyway, its over and the crap is gone. Really need to pull it together.

Planned eats for today:

Coffee w/ cream
slice Arnold double protein bread w/ skippy natural
Pure Protein bar and watermelon
apple and cheese stick
Not sure whats for dinner yet.

Bootcamp tonight.

I also love chocolate and mint.  I don't know if you do protein powder, but I LOVE the Matrix Mint Cookie protein powder.  It tastes just like a ground up mint Girl Scout cookie or Oreo.  I shake it up with almond milk or stir it into chocolate pudding.  It helps me with my cravings.  Yum!

How did I missed your post??? I did not see it so I started mine...

Monday... I had a long weekend - took care of my BF after a minor surgery , but I am tired today.
What gives? .. Week is just starting...
I also had an "aha!!" moment on Saturday. Usually I think I am smart... but suddenly some revelation strucked me and I realized how dumb I can be... for years.

Last 3 years I drink coffee every morning, I like my coffee or tea hot. Really hot. And every morning first few sips of my coffee will hurt me... deep belly hurting - like spams pain. I always accepted that as "normal" post op RNY guts waking up pain. Every morning "it will hurt for a few minutes - then I will be fine - not so much pain for a while". Then this Saturday I got the "light bulb": moment: my coffee is hot. My pouch is empty - I am puring hot coffee into my pouch and the hot liquid is running through it non stopping into my small intestines - literally burning it - it is like puring scolding coffee on you- it hurts until you blister or the skin gets numb. That's what I have been doing almost every morning for a while. Burning my intestines. Nice... !
In the past - when I had a normal stomach - it kept the coffee (or tea) and only released that after the liquid reached the body temperature. But with my new - and empty pouch - the hot or ice cold liquids - just reach that sensitive parts in matter of seconds... Nice ...

I felt so stupid... like "...slightly below average..." - you will know what i mean if you have seen the Madagascar 3 movie - lol.. (cute -BTW)
So no hot liquids for me. No icy cold either.

Eats today:

coffee + coconut milk (+ 2 cubes of ice = no pain)
Protein shake
protein cookies
frittata (from yesterday)
meatloaf with veggies
beef stew, veggies
salad with some proteins
sunflower seeds (snack)

Im ready to get back on track fellow Botts...Got some weight regain I MUST work on...to get off..and STAY OFF! for good... again? Sorry if Im not doin this right..I figure I'll get the hang of it. I need to track my numbers too
This is what Ive done or planned so far...I'll total , complete towards end of my day.

hard boiled egg w/ tbs chipotle mayo 78 cals ..6P + 40 cals 2g C

Dinner
3 grilled frajitas chicken strips 30 cals 3g P
1/2 deviled egg 60 cals 3.5 P
Morningstar garden pattie + spicy brown mustard 110 cal 10 P ...9g C + 10 cals
Dessert: 1 small apricot 15 cals 3g C

WATER: 80 oz crystal light 12 cals
VITAMINS & MINERALS: yep
EXERCISE: walking 1.5 miles in 95 deg heat!.to store....grocery bag curls on way back

Crazy week last week with weekend recovery & computer outage at work, etc. so after my rejoin post I ended up on another slight hiatus.  Ugh.  I was pining to post but just could not get it into any of my days.  did okay food/exerise wise, moderate with fluid intake, crappy with vitamins.  Going to have to start setting alarms or something in order to remember those.  Here is my plan for today.

B - protein bar
S - protein bar & four mini carrots
L - salad with tuna on it (lettuce, cucumber, tomato, red pepper, tuna, a little bit of dressing & pickle relish)
s - carrots w/peanut butter
D - undecided, have to run by the store

Going to hit the gym in a few minutes for my lunch break & possibly walk the dogs tonight if it isn't raining.
