Happy Friday !!

Had my 7yr surgiversary appt yesterday, went better than expected, thought I would get a lecture from my surgeon about picking up a "few (10)" lbs, but he said not to worry overmuch about the weight, still well within normal BMI numbers & of course, reminded me that if I follow the basic pouch rules the weight will evenually come back off...My bloodwork was all good, only concern is my continuing indigestion when I wake up 1st thing in the a.m on an empty stomach - he scheduled me an endoscopy to check out my pouch & esphagus to make sure all is working like it should...

Breakfast  :  protein coffee & a petite scone
Snack  :  2 breakfast sausages, a provolone cheese stick & 4 crackers with pb
Lunch  :  a roasted chicken thigh & maybe a side salad from wendys
Dinner  :  looks like a slice of pizza from Pizza Hut & deli chicken with hummas roll-ups
Cardio  :  2 miles power walk with DH & the puppies

PS :  Tess, even the bubble on the frog goes away eventually , keep smilin', sound like you're doing great with your recovery...

Alesia : start 249 / surgeon's goal 138 / current 142

Tess--I have several girlfriends who had the surgery and they experienced swelling for almost a year after the surgery...it slowly diminished.  They said it was more likely to occur when they overdid it :-) and sometimes it just happened.

Alesia--congratulation on your surgiversary and a great appointment!

Day 4 on the 5 Day Pouch Test went well.  Still really hungry but SF jello has helped. My eats yesterday were:
B - 24 oz protein coffee
S - 2 hard boiled eggs (really day 3 foo but wanted to eat the, up), SF jello
L - ate snack too late for lunch
S - 6 oz shrimp
D - 6 oz grd sirloin
S - 5 oz grd sirloin, SF jello

Today will be ham, chicken, and (ugh) all beef hot dogs (I will HAVE to add sauerkraut).

Hello... some swelling may be expected. I do hope you feel better soon. At the end - it is worth it,

Stayed home today, My BF had a minor surgery yesterday and I decided to just make that a long weekend.  I took care of him and cooked and cooked and cooked.  I usually send one whole day every 2 weeks to cook main dishes. Then just pick up and eat.

Doing some more cooking today. I may also bake some protein cookies.  fun.

eating today;
coffee + coconut milk
protein pancakes ( they were eatable - but not great - need to adjust the recipe)
few nuts
meat sauce and veggies
some proteins and veggies..
same
sunflower seeds - LNS.

May go to movies or just walking later tonight.
