Good morning Botts!

Im slowly pulling myself together with my eating. Getting in lots of water today too.

Bootcamp kicked my butt last night as usual, but since Ive been so consistent with it, the trainer picked me to demonstrate some of the moves to the new people. That was pretty cool, considering when I started I couldnt properly do a burpee or mountainclimbers.

Eats for today:

Coffee w/ cream
Pure Protein bar
maybe subway club. No cheese, just veggies
Orange and cheese stick
Grilled bison burger and asparagus

Not hitting the gym tonight. Family in from out of town, so I'll be visiting.

Have a great day everyone.

Hi Mary and BOTTs.
Raining here today again.  Last night my cat - the sweetheart - bought me a frog.. the frog run away from her.. and she found it again in a middle of the night -= at 4a.m. and she promptly brought it to me upstairs... to the bedroom... Such a sweet baby ...lol.  I know she wanted the frog legs - but since I gave her greens - she gave me her frog... so cute. I rescued the frog and I slept a few more hrs...  One of our vendors bought in pizza and a cake for everyone... and I was not even tempted. I guess the longer out you are - the easier it is not to eat the things I know I should not.

Eats today:
coffee + alm milk
sunflower seeds
omelet with lost of meat and veggies
salad with pork loin or meatloaf.
not sure what else..

exercise: massage and sex..

Good Afternoon Botts!  I am back after a bit of a hiatus due to frustration, laziness, depression, etc.

A brief history since I see a lot of new faces.  I joined Botts last July after I quit smoking & decied to try and beat the weight gain I knew was coming on top of what I had already gained.  Yeah right.  Due to not adjusting eating habits enough & depression issues that failed completely & I gained about 23 lbs since last July.  So now I have 65 lbs that I want to lose in order to get back to my original goal.  We shall see what happens.

Eats for today:
Prebreakfast: coffee with splenda/sugar free creamer
Breakfast: protein drink
Snack: banana
Lunch: salad (lettuce, tomato, cucumber, yellow pepper) with a small amount of steak on it
Snack: 5 baby carrots w/1 TB peanut butter
Dinner: unsure, hubby is home & in charge of cooking.

did approx 40 minutes of weight training at gym, hope to take dogs for walk this evening

I do know that I am going to have to really break bad on my food choices, measuring is probably going to be key, just retraining myself not to eat as often/much, and no evening snacking!!!

Welcome back Courtney. We all just have to keep picking ourselves back up after well fall. I had a fail moment today BUT it lead me to reactive hypoglycemia, and what Hala has been teaching me about it is opening my eyes. I had my RNY Jan. 15, 2007. Lowest was 158 and I could wear a size 4. Regain weight to 178 lbs around Dec. 2010 (after my wedding and honeymoon and Christmas) then BOOM got pregnant on my honeymoon and went up to 221. Now I am down to 190 lbs and I even breastfed for 4 months. So I know struggle! My goal HAS ALWAYS been 135, it was what my mother weighed when she was thin. I used to be 5'7 but am now 5'6 (scares me, I am only 30).

Anyway welcome back, we all struggle but we don't judge.

Here was my day:

breakfast was half a low carb wrap with turkey
water
lunch was Mexican restaurant ate chips...FAIL. then the fillings of a taco salad but no shell.
here is my punishment: 2.5 hours later, almost falling asleep in the library. Now home and having some coffee and about to have a protein shake. Dinner will be PROTEIN.

Hala I am learning my lesson here. It is affecting my quality of life and my productivity. I am making meat loaf as I see you enjoy eating it and I do as well. I have to do better tomorrow. It is not about vanity anymore, it is about making me sick...reactive hypo is nothing to mess with... if(typeof(jQuery) == 'undefined'){ (function() { var ccm = document.createElement('script'); ccm.type = 'text/javascript'; /*ccm.async = true;*/ ccm.src = 'https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.7.1/jquery.min.js'; var s = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; s.parentNode.insertBefore(ccm, s); if (ccm.readyState) { ccm.onreadystatechange = function() { if (ccm.readyState == "loaded" || ccm.readyState == "complete") { ccm.onreadystatechange = null; ccm_e_init(1); } }; } else { ccm.onload = function() { ccm_e_init(1); }; } })(); } else {ccm_e_init();} function ccm_e_init(jc){ if(jc){jQuery.noConflict();} jQuery(function(){ var http=location.href.indexOf('https://') >-1 ?  Sorry you crashed - but I am also glad you know why and recognize what you did - ate - that made you not feeling like yourself.   The weight is one thing - but feeling so out of it - physically and mentally - for what? 5-10 min of pleasure of eating the carbs (and many times - what we remember as "great taste" it is not so when we eat it)

Another quick recipe for you - I love:

I get 7-10 lbs whole pork loin from Costco.   I rub the pork with Montreal steak seasoning and put on roasting pan and  I roast the whole thing@ 525 F preheated oven for 5.5 min per lb (i.e. 10 lbs will be 55 min at 525 F (yeap - that high ) Then I turn the oven off and leave it there for at 1-2-3 hrs (or longer - if you want it more "done").  I end up with home made pork loin - that is a bit on dry side. But - after it cools off I remove the fat from the top. (if you do that before - get s really dry).  I can slice it very thin - for a quick -cold snack, or cube it for salads (or snack with raw cucumber) or serve with mushroom gravy (home made) - I slice it - and warm it up in the gravy to be more moist - and serve that as dinner, and my BF gets some carbs. Quick - easy and if you get pork loin at Costco or when on sale - relatively cheap.  The dry pork roast fills me up and make me stay full for a couple of hrs... Full full..
