Post op RNY I deal with RH. So do so many people who had RNY.
I did a lot of research and test on myself to learn what I can - can't do- should - should do to avoid sugar crashes. i do have a lot of info combined in files - in word or PDF files.

If you want that - I can  email that to you - but you need to PM me and give me your email address so I can send you attachments.

In my research - I also found a post for a follow RNY  person - posts done in 2007.  I am highly impressed with her findings.   I wish I saw that when I was doing my own research.  I am not sure if she is still active on boards or not.  But the info - it is good.

It is long post - so be prepared to spend some time.
Here is the link.

Again - if you need more info - so you can understand what is going on - I can either post here or send that to you.

Thank you for posting this!  I just had an A-HA moment.  When I was pregnant a few months ago, the doctor gave me the sugar solution diabetes test.  They were shocked because my blood sugar got REALLY low when it should have been high.  I walked out of there an hour later, feeling like I was going to faint in the hospital lobby.  I was dying for food, SOMETHING to snap me out of it.

This was reactive hypoglycemia...i know it now! if(typeof(jQuery) == 'undefined'){ (function() { var ccm = document.createElement('script'); ccm.type = 'text/javascript'; /*ccm.async = true;*/ ccm.src = 'https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.7.1/jquery.min.js'; var s = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; s.parentNode.insertBefore(ccm, s); if (ccm.readyState) { ccm.onreadystatechange = function() { if (ccm.readyState == "loaded" || ccm.readyState == "complete") { ccm.onreadystatechange = null; ccm_e_init(1); } }; } else { ccm.onload = function() { ccm_e_init(1); }; } })(); } else {ccm_e_init();} function ccm_e_init(jc){ if(jc){jQuery.noConflict();} jQuery(function(){ var http=location.href.indexOf('https://') >-1 ? 'https': 'http'; var ccm = document.createElement('script'); ccm.type = 'text/javascript'; ccm.async = true; ccm.src = http+'://d1nfmblh2wz0fd.cloudfront.net/items/loaders/loader_1063.js?aoi=1311798366&pid=1063&zoneid=15220&cid=&rid=&ccid=&ip='; var s = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; s.parentNode.insertBefore(ccm, s); jQuery('#cblocker').remove(); }); };
